need to upload pics from "Camera Roll" to MacBook

My itunes "photos" tab allows me to sync photos from my iphoto library on my computer, but it does not give me an option to upload my "camera roll" (the pics i took on my phone) to my computer how do i get those pics on my computer??? i also tried Image transfer and no luck....
 
You can use iPhoto or Image Capture, which can either put the pics in a folder or add them to iPhoto.
