Don't let me influence you! lol If I go Series 4 it would have to be SBSS, but I tried one before getting the ceramic and wasn't keen on the black watch look. Also wasn't impressed with the DLC coating.

I preordered the Gold SS with sport band. I already have the black and white sport bands so getting the SBSS or SS didn't feel right lol. Plus Gold is new :)

I might try to grab a SBSS to try. I like the gold, but could never wear that thing down the gym!

I can't imagine what a SS would look like after the beating mine has had and it still looks pristine.

My OG Apple Watch was SS and it's held up pretty well. I was very, very careful with it though. My series 2 Ceramic I didn't care as much. It's rock solid.

If Apple offered a S4 ceramic for $1600 I would have ordered it.

I can’t wait to see the S4 tomorrow night.

Once I see it it may prove my theory the ceramic body would not have been possible with the S4 design.

That's Tag Heuer Carrera Automatic territory for what is a plastic band watch...

If I had a choice, it would be black stainless, which would have a similar durability to the ceramic due to the DLC on the space black. I just think the new design of the Series 4 makes the Series 3 look fairly dated already, and I would rather have the latest model offered from Apple simply because of that.

I agree it does look dated now. Still not sure what I'll do.

I read you preordered the gold stainless, I’m also going to purchase the Gold stainless in addition to the black stainless 44 mm that I ordered. I just want to see how it looks in person and I have plenty of bands that will match, but the good news about the gold stainless, it has a PVD coating, which is a protective layer on the gold casing that will help prevent scratches and minor scuffs. It’s similar to what the space gray bands use for a protection on the iPhone X.

Yeah I'll be heading over to the Apple Store on Friday to take a peak. Hopefully get mine next week.

I think that’s the case too, the edges are far too tapered for ceramic to work.

I’ll probably take a look too, but I’m scared in case I like them lol

Is it an aluminium by any chance? The ceramic looks fantastic, even with the Series 4 being released. Nothing compares to the durability of the ceramic, especially for the gym. Wearing a SS watch down the gym..... Hmmmmm, no.
I wear my SS series 0 to the gym all the time. I also lift weights. No problem here. It still looks great. I do have to say I am aware that it is on and lift accordingly.

Yeah, but I don’t want to be constantly worried where I’m putting my arm and losing focus. I had a SS S0 too and was so paranoid about anything touching it.

I kept the ceramic. So far I’m happy.

I actually tried our a Series 4 for a few days and can't justify the "upgrade" for what I use it for. Yes, the larger screen was nice, but I didn't like the feel of the new digital crown. Will probably wait for Series 5 unless I have a change of heart down the line.
