Hello,
I picked up the Neo a week after it came out and I picked Silver. It reminded me of my original first Mac laptop I purchased in 2002; an 12" iBook 600 I believe it was called. Now after watching all the video's on YouTube, I'm wishing for the Citrus color. Crazy huh? Has anyone who purchased the Citrus regretted the color choice?

Thank you!

No, but I bought the indigo and regret it -- the keyboard is very hard to see!

I use my laptop with the lid closed hooked up to a 27” Dell Monitor and an external mouse and keyboard. I’m retired and need a big screen. You might want to think the same thing. I had heard the indigo keys are hard to read. The Citrus color looks bad when it’s not kept clean.

You could also get a trade in color to get the one you want.

I got Citrus and still love it. It's so unique and yellow, in all it's shades (until it starts turning brown), is my favorite color.

I originally got the Citrus but returned it after my wife found it too "loud".

She got the blush Neo instead and is very happy.

I think at some point they will offer a back lite keyboard and 12gb of ram will it cost more yes but I bet as long as the cost is not ridiculous they will sell all they can turn out.

At first I didn't like the citrus color but it's been growing on me when I see pictures. If I bought one that would probably be the color

Typing was not offered in my elementary school and in high school it was considered girls classes might be due to an age difference between you and I.

That is sad, and honestly wild to read. As a millennial, I definitely remember the whole class going to the computer lab to learn typing as early as 3rd grade.

Considering our complete reliance on computers now, that girly reputation of learning to type didn't age so well.

Why are you having a laptop in the first place then? How does the color matter?

If it helps at all, any chipping/damage to a silver MacBook will not really show because all the colors are painted on.

Saying this as my M1 MacBook Pro is silver and only closely can you notice little chips/marks. My six month old M4 MacBook Pro I got in Space Black, and no matter how much I try to keep it perfect, has already shown more noticeable wear just from things bumping up on the edge of the laptop.

My GF had it in blush and loves it as well. It reminds me of my old Rose Gold iPhone SE, but luckily doesn’t change its hue that much in different lighting.
I would have gotten the Citrus as Blush is too tame, indigo is too dark and silver is even more sterile than the white iPhone 3GS, but MacBook Pro’s aren’t supposed to be fun unfortunately, and agate my space grey 2017 MBP I’m very content with silver.

This is exactly why I would pick silver, even if blue is my favourite colour. Notebooks don't have protective cases like phones and shouldn't need them to stop the finish from degrading.

I try not to get too hung up on color when choosing Apple devices, however have had a touch of paralysis by analysis when choosing color or specs. My first Apple Watch was a black vs. silver debate, however now that I'm on Apple watch #3, I've tried both colors. After the newness wears off and it becomes a tool not a toy color doesn't matter as much. I tend to look at Apple products as a lease or temporary ownership. They all get sold, traded in or handed down sooner or later. Not a buy-it-for-life purchase. I did choose Indigo for the Neo, but could have gone citrus or silver. Maybe I'll try a new color when the Neo III is released.
