So it doesn't have learned schedules? Just seems odd to me if it doesn't. Not a deal breaker since we have an in-home daycare now, so we don't really need it to learn much since someone is often at home. Having an official today widget would be handy, and is an example of Nest not updating their app anymore with features. I had to rely on a third party app that was often glitchy.
Nope, no learning. Scheduling looks pretty full-featured, though (I haven't alteredit much from the default schedule yet), and it uses the sensors to monitor home activity and go into power-saving mode after a while regardless of schedule (this can be disabled).

Well, to be completely honest, that might be better than the Nest—at least for me. Right now I have to manually put it into away mode because there's only the one sensor and it doesn't like to do it by itself because I think the range sucks so they err on the side of caution. I'd rather have sensors around the house because IDK how many times we've traveled home halfway across the state for a few days and I realize halfway through that I forgot to put it into away mode. I'll check my phone and sure enough, it's still cooling the house as if we were still there.
