Netflix Adds 30-Second Preview Videos to iOS App

I haven't seen it on iOS, my comment was really for tvOS. I don't often watch Netflix on small devices.

Hate this on my xbox one when browsing the marketplace, trailers for games play at the top of the screen, full audio! Now that it is in Netflix too that's really going to suck! Have to remember to keep my stuff on mute till I'm ready to watch something.

Netflix has done this before on the Roku app. Part of the reason we do not waste our money with them any longer.

Netflix sucks for not integrating with “up next” in iOS and tvOS. I don’t know the nature of this limitation, but it’s enough to make me consider unsubscribing. It’s not even that good outside of the USA anyway.

Auto play on the AppleTV is easily my most hated “feature” of Netflix. Like 400 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Also their quality setting choices are weird. It jumps from 700kb/s (noticeably bad quality with a lot of banding and compression artifacts) to 3000kb/s (HD) or 7000kb/s (4K, good quality but slams me up against my 1TB data cap every month). They really need a choice in the 1200kb/s to 1500kb/s range (decent quality, moderate data usage).
