It's true. I had trouble finding it until I did as told (search literally for "Net Share"). Downloaded and installing now.

Almost wanted to buy it because it was just back up!!! But then realized... I'm savy enough to do it with a proxy manually on my jailbroken phone. I'm just waiting to see what AT&T does to tethering people 😀
Thanks! this will be great going on trips to hotels without free wifi. Or anywhere you need internet on the mac.

One question to people... I've been trying to get a feel for this.
What use does tethering give you? Can't you already do most On-The-Go things straight from the phone?

You can cut and paste, upload and download and in general do things a lot faster with more screen space on your laptop. You can also have a partner use a second Powerbook, MBP or whatever and surf the net.

People are so quick to attempt to catch others' mistakes. I know it's being covered there, but the main news posting was still showing that it could only be downloaded directly, and not via the iPhone. I posted that it was available via the iPhone App store in that thread before I posted it here, but it seemed to be passed over, so I made this thread.
