Well, i am a bit undecided as well as to whether i should get the new or the old ipad...
IPad 2 won't be available here till the 25th, so there is still some time to get the original one, with a price drop of about 20% (530 -> 429 euros).
When it comes to cameras, i almost never use the ones of my iphone, so i don't really care about the ones on the ipad.
In general, i don't plan to watch movies or anything, just do some browsing, ebook reading, etc.
Haven't ever really used an ipad, so i don't know if after getting one i decide there are more things i would like to do with it.
Still not sure however, if it's worth the extra money to get the new one, or the original will be just fine...

My iPad 1 is the best damn unicorn poop I have ever had. :D It is strange how a month ago, the iPad 1 was the best thing ever, and now it seems to many people that it is one step above the bargain bin at Kmart.

If you want an iPad 2, by all means go for it. But for many people there is nothing wrong with an iPad 1!

I got the chance to look at the iPad 2 today. Very nice update, but not enough for me to upgrade at this point. I do like the new cover. Not currently in to making videos, so iMovie for the iPad 2 has no draw. Not in to gaming, save Angry Birds. But an update to an iPad2 only Angry Birds might be neat. :D

Being a photographer what might take me over the edge would be some editing tools that takes advantage of the iPad2. But I am wanting to wait till the iPad3 here - hopefully that one will come with a better screen for bright light.

So for now I love my iPad, and will wait it out to see what good things are in store for the iPad family. Now to convince my better half to hold off, they were smitten today with the iPad2. Lucky for us both they had none in stock. LOL

Keep in mind they chose the iPhone 3GS as their Valentine's Day gift from me... even after I shared the pluses of the iPhone 4.

If i do, I'm going white

Have to say that I liked the white one as well. Though I am not so sure how that would play against the (product)RED leather cover in person...

Let me guess... you own an original iPad?

Dual core, 9x more graphics power, thinner, lighter, cameras. Worth $150 to me.

There are already apps that won't run on the original iPad. And it'll only get worse from here.

Nope, still not worth it. Even after all these years, people are still using the original iPhone with no reason to upgrade. Don't kid yourself that you need the latest and greatest.

Don't sound like an advertisement.

I first got a 16gb wifi.
About a week later, I sold it on craigslist and bought a 32gb 3g. I did not think I would use the 3g before, but ever since having it, I find every reason to use it. I am trying to hold still until the ipad 2 but am itching for it. I have no patients.
