How much do you understand power delivery in usb?
Im not sure what you figured out, but usb hub communicates even in physical form as USB.I figure sense the Apple Pro PCie ports are powered at the port! It should support some cards power requirements!
Maybe PCIE cards like at Sonnet PCIE cards will get you a Mac Pro hub!Im not sure what you figured out, but usb hub communicates even in physical form as USB.
Meaning that the computer can give max 900 mA to the hub. Accoring to usb standard.
The hub uses this a bit and can pass the rest on to devices. Meaning that 2 devices which use over 440 mA of power, will not work.
Believe or not, good usb hubs do have a reason for aux power. It's not just for getting a bigger box to sell.
Maybe, maybe not.Maybe PCIE cards like at Sonnet PCIE cards will get you a Mac Pro hub!
On your older Mac you get get 10G to your older Tower Sonnet Solo10g SPF PCIE pci card!Maybe, maybe not.
Oh well,
I'm not looking for pci-card for classic macpro. I'm looking for reasonably priced usb hub. With the speed what should be the standard in 2020, 10Gbit/s, ie. usb3.1 gen2, and used for the next decade.
Or are you so funny that you suggest that I'll start to use some old cMP as an usb hub? Power consumption 200W it idle?
Do you know what is "usb hub"?On your older Mac you get get 10G to your older Tower Sonnet Solo10g SPF PCIE pci card!
