You may have typed that with your penis on your exclusive-for-men computer. But just because Apple's new keyboard is designed to be used with fingers doesn't mean it's for females. If you're talking about rMB's lack of ports, not every male user puts his dongle into an open port.

You don't say?

Have you ever heard of Freud?

And you are the voice of what apple clearly intended....wow! Clearly your interpretation of the keynote is the only one!

Careful, that what you accuse others of, look in the mirror bud!

I'll just buy my adapter and do some real work ;)

I fully accept be it a rMBP or a new Macbook, or any other laptop I get from Apple I will need certain adapters. I just find it silly someone telling me to get another apple laptop, when that other product also needs adapters! And that the new Macbook is intended to be wireless! Rubbish! Its a perfectly fine laptop for business use!

I'm not the one is fantasy world that today's current world is wireless..... definitely not if you have an office 9-5 job!

I don't think anyone makes a laptop with DVI,DP,VGA, and HDMI. Any laptop will have certain compromises, and the rMB is not for me. I don't think the rMB is for anyone who need lots of connectivity but the rMBP is more than enough for the majority of users.

My only concern with the new MB is if Apple brings minimalism to the rest of the notebook line. It would be a shame to see a MBP with one port.

I have an 11" MBA and I will not get the new MB as it offers me nothing more. I use the USB ports a lot, I have a USB SD card reader in my camera bag for my Nikon 5200 so the lack of the SD reader does not affect me.

I do use a HDMI adapter for the odd time I need to connect to a TV so I picked up 3 for 15$. I have one always connected to my TV, one in my camera bag and one in my backpack. I don't see this as a compromise as other people my need different video connections. Having all the required connections already on an ultra portable would defeat its purpose.

Had the rMB had one more USB port, there might have been a chance I would have bought one, but as it is I will pass.

I think it is a toy, a gadget for the ladies (even surprised they don't offer a pink version). It is just a netbook for reading emails and do some internet. Not really a notebook to produce work. I hope they will still just change the screens on the present 11" and 13" MBA into retina versions (they already updated to broadwell) that was all I wanted. They don't have to make them thinner, nor change the keyboard and please hands off the ports just leave it as it is. If they want they can throw in the new trackpad as a bonus but even that is not a must.

For the ladies? A pink version? Wow. Welcome to 2015 bud.

I'm a mature male student starting medical school next year and am definitely grabbing this. I'm giving this current 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display to my partner April 10th or whenever it delivers, and he'll love it. I'm not sure if you consider med school not real work, but I know for a fact that I've worked my bum off to get to this point. Let me tell you, if I need to snap a picture on my iPhone of a slide or something and have it pop up in the Photos App, perfect. I think your definition of "work" is different than mine. Welcome to the world of the wireless. I use Notability, take notes and record lecture. I then pop up onto the iPad to study or even my iPhone to do a quick review.

If it's not for you, that's fine - but your borderline sexist remarks are uncalled for.

Agree, silly comments.

Derogatory comments - maybe a tad of jealous because of the impending obsolesces of the MBA...
Based on the specs, the performance is actually better than the MBA, so i fail to see how they are a toy.

I personally don't see the new macbook as anything lower than the current airs; in fact, I see it as an improvement. I was never interested in the airs, but this new macbook is sexy and Im considering getting one

It is NOT for the ladies. It will likely get too hot to use on a lap.
