Who would have thought, there would be a 10.5" iPad to replace the 9.7" because of the slimmer bezels. That's one thought.Very interesting point about Apple's perpetuation of a bezeled screen on the iMac. I could create a mock-up to test this theory, but if the bezels were to suddenly go away on the 21.5" model, it would look seriously small juxtaposed against it's older brethren. My thinking is that perhaps Apple feels there would a resulting negative consumer cost-versus-size perception amongst consumers?
As for the concept, keep the Chin and cut the bezels i.e. a slimmed down aluminium bottom and no glass bezel around the three sides only while the bottom stays. The Chin can house the Front camera or dual-setup for 3D scanning and Touch-id unobtrusive on the logo to further broaden the mock-up in a minimalist way, without affecting anything.
A digital mock-up would rarely let you feel the size though. But keep me posted.

Oh c'mon! Seriously? As a designer and retoucher I need that black bezel so I can concentrate on my work and not everything in back of the display. For me, the black bezel is essential.
