No, he's referred to it as the 'iPod' baseband in several different threads, and has often talked about Cydia as if it were ultrasn0w.

a friend of mine is handy with electronic repair. i saw a video about replacing the baseband chip on youtube. is this possible or a way to f up this bricked phone even worse?
