Le iPhone 6b for business or bitches
Can't fit all the goodies into a much smaller device. Plus the 6c will be for people that want a lesser expensive device. That's what Apple intended the c series for anyway. So I don't know.

Just do it apple. Feature parity across all iPhones

4" - iPhone Mini
4.7" - iPhone Air
5.5" - iPhone Pro

I absolutely agree. I'm really pressing for universal parity across Apple's product lines, which I do think Apple is working to do, but they just happen to be incredibly slow at it.

But to further your suggestion, i even think the iMac should finally drop its name in favor of "Mac Air" to really drive home the consistent triple tier naming structure for each product family. And no, this ain't sarcasm. I'm totally serious. :)

But anyway, yea, long live the 4" iPhone. Hope they bring it back.

Is this one of those situations where an individual reads a prediction and upon agreeing with it writes their own article without quoting them?

The 2nd article is then picked up and used as evidence to corroborate the original opinion.

So analysts are paid to come up with independent evidence and analysis. There is some truth in what you are saying, but you cannot just take a headline in a rumor blog and sell it to your clients without other supply channel information of your own.

When we see half a dozen analysts all saying something very similar, usually it happens. When it is an outlier, only very rarely.

Please let this be true. I don't care if its the same body as the 5s, just upgrade the internals is fine.
Or just use the same body of the ipod touch and lose the camera bump, that would be perfect.

I'm hoping they release one, so that the people complaining about screen size can stop whining. Watch, it'll come out and they'll still get the 4.7" or higher phone...

I seriously hope not. The iMac is an icon (which I'm quite certain Apple agree with me on), and Mac Air sounds just ridiculous. In fact, I believe the Air moniker is on its way out in the Mac lineup. It made sense when the MacBook Air was the thinnest and lightest variant, but not anymore. I also wouldn't be surprised if the iPad Air, which is now the regular iPad, dropped the Air from its name sometime in the future. And with a new, smaller iPhone in the mix, Apple's lineup would look something like this:

iPhone mini – iPhone – iPhone Plus
iPad mini – iPad – iPad Pro
MacBook – MacBook Pro
Mac mini – iMac – Mac Pro

I have a 5c and I'm still quite happy with it on iOS9. I love the size and actually I like the feel better than the metal 5/5s. It's less prone to scuffs (I dropped it several times and no damage) and feels great in the palm too (using no case).

Next year would be a good time to upgrade for me and I'd very much wish for a new 4'' iPhone, even if it's 5s-design. My favorite 4'' would be the iPod Touch, I think its look and feel is gorgeous...! It's metal, but more rounded like the 5c - the best of both worlds.

Ugh really? Here is something more innovative they can do. Get rid of the top and bottom bezels so the 4.7 inch iphone is as small as the iPhone 5.

yeah, what a great looking phone that would be

See, my hand size makes the 4.7" perfect. I can hold and use a 4.7" phone just as I would a 4" device, but no larger. The Plus move in to two hand territory. I really like using the Plus when sitting somewhere though, but it's a little big for my "always on me" device."
Yeah hand size is a factor, but another thing is how we actually hold our phone. If you're the type of person who likes to keep a pinky under the phone which means you hold the bottom of the phone more, even 4.7 is too big for one handed use, which is the case for me sometimes. Now, other times I hold the phone differently, just grabbing the phone from the side and having my fingers across the back, I can EASILY reach the whole screen that way. It's the same thing with the plus models, so I may as well just get the large phone and all its benefits for more or less the same amount of struggle.
Looks good to me; the front, at least.
lol

The roundedness of the phone looks weird with the sharp edges of the screen, and the lack of bezels gives no room for any sensors, buttons, or cameras. but that's all subjective I guess.

One reason I think Apple is struggling to shrink the bezels is their obsession with thinness. They are able to cram a sufficient battery into the ridiculously thin phone because it's so wide and tall, spread out because of the big bezels. If Apple wanted to go *thinner* and still shrink the bezels, we would have AWFUL, HORRENDOUS batteries. I think Apple can give us what they want (sufficient battery life and shrunken bezels) if they go back closer to iPhone 5/5S thickness. But with Jon Ive in there, we all know that will never happen.

I like the size of the galaxy note 5, when I first looked at it I had to make sure it wasn't a galaxy s6, it doesn't look that substantial in person unless it's right next to a galaxy s6 or other smaller tier phone. The bezels don't really get in the way, where it feels like that a bit more with the iPhone Plusses. Would never get a note as my daily driver though, I would get one as a "side kick" if I felt like changing things up for a day, but I would then run home to use my iPhone lol. But, I don't have that kind of money, sadly.

Trust me, they would find a way to spin that. "Our battery life of six hours is the typical time after which most people feel tired and need some time off. With this newest feature – enabling the exciting and wonderful possibility of charging three times a day – we remind our users to take breaks from work and focus on nature and the flow of time. iPhone: the only fully organic smartphone approved by Chinese monks"

You do like Touch ID, right?

I heard many rumors on Touch ID being implemented into the screen. It seems like to next logical evolution.

Also, I miss Touch ID on the Apple Watch as well, because, everytime my collar gets in between the watch and my skin, the watch asks for the a password, and there are many other times I take the watch on and off throughout the day. It gets very annoying after a while. You can't disable the passcode without disabling Apple Pay, so I think an "on screen" Touch ID would be benefitial for Apple Watch as well as the iPhone.

Of course, the next problem is in-app navigation. I like having a button that makes navigation easy.

If they never made larger iPhones, people would still be paying $649 for 4" iPhones, right?
(As long as the speeds and features kept increasing).

Yeah, but some people in here are arguing it should be cheaper because smaller screen size. And if that's how people see it, Apple won't have a financial incentive to make it this year's spec.

I suppose.... We pay the extra 100 for the 6 Plus vs. the 6. The specs are pretty close to the same other than screen size (and image stabilization).
