Running iOS 3.1.2
BB 05.11.07

Jailbroken and unlocked via blackra1n.

To clear all the info to sell, all I have to do is "Erase All Content and Settings" correct?

Don't every do this. If you do, your phone will hang.

Since you have 3G, you can just restore it to 3.1.3 where you do not need SHSH blob to do it and you still can keep your baseband at 05.13 where you can unlock it with Ultrasn0w.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

Go ahead and make sure your SHSH Blobs are saved. You can do this by checking in Cydia or downloading TinyUmbrella. If your blobs are saved, it is safe to restore. If not, go ahead and save them with TinyUmbrella, then restore to 4.1. You will have to re-jailbreak and re-unlock once restored, or you can restore to a custom IPSW.

Come on. Don't restore to 4.1. As you know, 4.1 has a baseband of 05.14 where you can't unlock with Ultrasn0w. This will screw up your phone.

Daniel, if you don't know what you are talking about, don't tell other to screw up their phone.

well my iphone 4 16gb went for 490.00!
more than paid for my 4S 32gb, if i would have know i would have got a 64gb! lol
sure you dont want to rethink selling your 4 and get a much faster 4S? of course to get that kind of money it has to be JB AND unlocked too

I was in the same spot until I found that I don't get a phone upgrade until almost march but my iphone 4 was at 4.3.3 and 4.10.xxx which I believe it was the last to work with Gevey.

However- I'd have to spend $550 to buy the iPhone 4S until March which I didn't assume that my phone would be worth enough to buy the new phone for $550, so I just upgraded to iOS5 until Siri is jailbroken for the iphone 4 until the iphone 5. :)

for some reason i get an free upgrade every year with a 2 year contract.Doesn't make sense but im not complaining:)i paid 299 for my 4s 32gb

I thought the same since I have bought every iphone since 2007 on day 1 for each launch, but this year it didn't work. I cut down my plan a bit, but maybe thats part of the upgrading system.

I even called AT&T to ask why I'm can't upgrade until the end of February but they wouldnt budge on it at all, and even supervisors.

I'll tell you that its a HUGE headache to transfer from mobileme->icloud with iOS5 and its jacking up a ton stuff and I don't know if its just me or a lot people, but its not exactly very smooth that I expected.

Thanks, Crystal-RX. Yeah, I don't think I want to go above 3.1.3 on such an old phone.

Hope this is the last question: I'm planning on "Restore as New." When I do this, do I keep my SIM card inserted or do I keep it out of the phone? Just don't want ANY data left on there whatsoever. If I have to keep it inserted, do I then have to insure I'm logged out of the Store in Settings afterwards?

Many Thanks.

Either way is find. Once you restore, you need to have sim card in your phone so Itunes can activate/by pass emergency screen. Once that is done, you can remove your sim. Your info will not be on the phone.
