I love this camera. Here are 2 pics of one of my dogs & my Grand dog. :)

Anyone having issues with pics shot in RAW being blurry? It's not just one app but all of them. The JPG version is clear but the RAW version isn't. I am running iOS 10.1 so that could be a factor...

Are you talking with just the 56mm 2.8? If so it very well could be camera shake.

If not, I just ran a few through C66 at default settings and they were fine. I'm running 10.1 as well.

How does it compare to Camera+ ?

This is the first 3rd party camera control app I have used so I can't really help there.

Either lens. They are fine in JPG but not in RAW for some reason

If by chance you are making this assessment via the phone's LCD, they will look outright blurry on viewing them because the iOS lacks the programming to fully render these types of unprocessed files.

If you are seeing blurry ones in post, well that is another matter.

Here is one of downtown as I was passing by. Not really processed in anyway. Just a snapshot. I hope to do more professional looking shots this weekend

This is my most beautifull picture created with the portret beta function

If this was indoors it's problably to be 2x digital zoom from the wide angle.

I am already imaging people taking many picture thinking it's from the 2x telephoto lens...but instead it's a 2x digital zoom from the wide camera. (Which probably produces a sharper image then the 2x optical in low light)

The telephoto lens 2x zoom will only be activated if there is very good lightning conditions. You can use your finger to cover the telephoto lens just to check if it's in use.
Apple should/could present some kind of symbol on the screen indicating if the 2x is digital or optical.

Which is which?

Before snap another shot indoors (poor lightning conditions), after switching to 2x, place your finger in front of the telephoto lens. You will notice that it's not working/activated. You can do this test easly.

Like I've told many of you on this forum, but y'all don't seem to take my advice at all, third-party apps like ProCamera and ProCamera 8 will allow you to use your telephoto anytime you want to and record your images and raw as well. But I guess if you're just not a photographer and don't care about full control of the cameras, then ignore this post....which you probably will ignore it anyway.

I have seen this very issue with the Apple default app as it will not switch to the telephoto a lot of the time, therefore I have switched over to those two apps to take my photos and I can touch which camera I want to use. The wide angle, or the telephoto. It works great no second-guessing. If you want to go ahead and give that a try, you'll be pleased. And I guess if none of you respond then I guess I'll quit contributing to this post or to this forum.

Telephoto with ProCam app. As you can see I did not have to wait for the Apple default app to tell me which lens it wants to try, I chose it myself.

The answers lie in EXIF. And if you were't so paranoid about these sorts of things, we could make informed comments.

Is the 4mm lens the longer of the two?

For those with experience using ProCamera or ProCamera8, can you tell me if switching to 16:9 mode causes any loss of quality? So far it does not appear so. I am hoping not, I LOVE taking photos that natively fill the entire screen. Thank you for any feedback.

RAW photos are unprocessed, so in their original forms they will likely look worse than what you have been used to. The RAW/unprocessed format contains MUCH more data to work with though, and allows for much more post-processing while remaining clean to create the exact look you want.

A good analogy would be comparing RAW photos to lossless audio.
Honestly thats a poor analogy, lossless audio is perfect as is. RAW photo needs work before you can even look at it.

That is not so. I shoot RAW with my Nikon and there are times few if any adjustments are required. RAW is used in case something goes wrong so I have a better chance of recovering the images. I have gigabytes of RAW images that were used to print images.
