The ad is new it's amazing I wish they would have done more. It feels like Apple is back to its ads that make people question things. Like really who is gonna say I don't want all these things from now on. Also looks like they show only the 9.7 Pro to me that's a small dis at the 12.9. But maybe not. Since the 12.9 already got its own ads.

Enjoy

Interesting quip pointed out by OS6-OSX comment #411 on the MR story about the ad

"I watched it on YouTube where at the time there were 173,858 views. Being that YouTube will have more viewers than MR looks like Apple decided to disable the comments! Seems as if they are afraid of bad press so they "controlled" the situation! Well, Apple control this one. Your IPAD PRO should have AMATEUR in it's title! Stop being afraid and open up for comments!"

I am thinking of getting a Surface 4 (plan version) when it comes out but only if it actually has a real SSD. Mainly to have the best of both worlds.

I find the Pro versions to heavy.

Too heavy? The surface pro is 1.73 pounds and the iPad Pro 12 inch is 1.59 pounds

Yes but the extra weigh of a Surface Pro adds a lot once you include the keyboard too.

I prefer 1.5 pounds or less if possible.

Can't please everyone with a one size fits all tablet, that's why there's options.. And the more the better for the consumer.

I don't see the ad as a diss. Most cats these days want small things, but there are a few niche folks like me who prefer a Larger (12.9) tablet.

I love my 12.9 iPad Pro. I "liked" it before getting the Smart Keyboard. Since getting the Smart Keyboard, I rarely ever use my iMac. I'm not doing any video or heavy photo editing though. But this thing does everything I wanted it to. I've never used an iPad as much as I use this one. I've had iPads since the iPad 2. I highly recommend them.

You do have a point I apologize.

However for me I don't use a keyboard except on the iPad itself

It's basically saying you can do everything with a dramatically simplified device, rather than the complex mess of a Windows 10 device.

Hm, good for you, but not the topic of the conversation.

Now that I have an actual Tablet the 9.7 Pro my need for a Laptop has almost vanished.

I am looking forward to the Surface Pro 5 with an actual M.2 SSD and a few USB C ports but the Surface is trying to be a Hybrid compared to the 9.7 Pro it's big and heavy it is trying to be both

The iPad Pro at least the 9.7 is a tablet but look at all it can do makes people question established norms.
