Tried the Apple TV app and, yup, spatial audio. Also on the HBO Max app on supported shows. It was streaming in spatial audio on the TV app!!!!
Thank you very much for the enlightening reference.
I'm really disappointed that it doesn't work on iPad Pro 10.5
On the Apple TV? Because I was not able to get it working on there. (Working on the Iphone and Ipad)Tried the Apple TV app and, yup, spatial audio. Also on the HBO Max app on supported shows.

Is spatial audio coming to Apple TV device? The reason I ask is I’ve updated Apple TV today and no spatial audio, which is a real disappointment.
P.S I love spatial audio, really good on iPad Pro but would love it to work on Apple TV device.
Answer my own question - NO APPLE TV WILL NOT SUPPORT SPATIAL AUDIO
ATV, any version (and Macs for that matter), do not support Spatial Audio.
It requires a gyroscope and accelerometer in the playing device, which is why it’s restricted to iPhone and iPad.
“Requires iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, or iPhone SE (2nd generation).”
Exactly what I was thinking. No need the “Follow” just the virtual surround.I was hoping it would support virtual surround sound, and just not include the head turning aspect on the TV, which is cool but not as useful IMHO. I mostly use my AirPods the watch TV and rarely use my iPad or iPhone, so I was looking forward to this feature on my Apple TV, bummer it's not supported.
Same thing for me. I do have an old iPad Pro 9.7”, maybe that’s the reason I’m not seeing it?
I don't see why gyroscope and accelerometer would be needed on a device that is stationary anyway?Answer my own question - NO APPLE TV WILL NOT SUPPORT SPATIAL AUDIO

Why would anyone want that? I'd want the sound stage comsistent no matter which way I turn my head. Cool concept but still gimmicky. I can see people using it for a little bit and then disabling it from being annoyed. The spatial audio is absolutely wild! Turn your head 90 degrees from the phone to see it work. Two thumbs up Apple.
Edit: The more I use it, it can be a little off putting. It gives me the sense that my Airpods aren't working and sound is coming from the iPhone. (Yes, I know that's the point)
