I almost jumped ship for the backflip but, after all the negative reviews, I decided not to.

This phone, however, does not make me want to get it.
Still excited as ever for iPhone 4!

This phone looks ugly and is disproportionate.
Way too much room on the bottom and tiny screen.
No thanks. :apple:

Well, I don't know about this new phone, but I'd say it's more likely cause AT&T's droid phones they have gotten have sucked so far. The one I played with was annoying and completely not intuitive (wierd thing is it was totally different look than the EVO I played with or the Incredible which both had similar interfaces).

Talk to me when AT&T gets something equivelant to those two (I personally like the Incredible better, the EVO is just too big). Honestly, from all I've read on the internet anyways, it seems it's just those two which are both pretty recent that seem to get consistant favorable reviews compared to the iphone (also, was the incredible the first one with multi-touch support? I know it was some recent android phone. That's quite important honestly. I think that in itself was a huge leap to being comparable to the iphone).
It's in most Android phones now, and it's not that big of a leap. Apple is also suing HTC/ Android over a bunch of stuff, so yeah.

I just do not like it. To me it does not flow right for a phone and fails at the things i want it to do. It notifications are crap.
Notifications are supposed to be getting better soon... they'll probably show up in iOS 5. Apple just hired Palm WebOS's notification system designer, so you'd expect Apple to be working on a better system. I, (like you), also hate the current notification method.

I like my iPod touch but for a phone I just do not like the iPhone.
I do not go around telling people the iPhone sucks. I just point blankly said I do not want an iPhone and have zero desire for one.
It depends on the person. If you don't like the iPhone, the iPod Touch sure is a good secondary option.

I do not need to justify myself more than the fact that for me the iPhone is not a good phone. I do not go around saying it sucks. I never even bashed it (short of calling the notification system complete crap but that is pretty wildly agreed apron. )
You are the one who have a problem. What is so hard about understanding the fact that I do not like it. I like blackberry and Android.
Blackberry is not open so do not tell me that is the open issue. Now the blackberry I can do a lot more custom settings to get it the way I want it to be but I am also a self admitted geek and like those things.
Again, I agree with you bashing the current iOS notification system. It's terrible at the moment, and I can't wait until it gets better. I know a few people who have switched over to Android because of this, but they plan on going back to iOS once it's fixed. I understand that you like Blackberry/ Android because of the "open" customization. iOS 4 adds some customization options, but it's not quite like Blackberry or Android (yet). Let's face it: Android (not so much Blackberry) is for geeks. In other words, people who like to take complete control of the OS and do all these cool/ sometimes wacky things with it. I'm not blaming you. If you like those two OSs, so be it. It's your personal preference. I'm hoping iOS will get more "open" in the future, adding widgets and the like, but only time will tell. :apple:
