Hi everyone! I'm Roman, an indie dev based in Chiba, Japan, and I recently launched my first iOS app called Miyu.

I was inspired by Lo-Fi girl since I liked to study with her, but the process always lacked interactivity for me, and I wanted it to feel like I was actually studying with a friend. In addition, I wanted to track my progress to see how well I am doing and maybe even get some rewards for it.

That's how Miyu was born. I took the experience I had from developing visual novels in the past and applied it here to make a hybrid between a game and an app. You can have conversations with Miyu to get to know her better, play some simple games together, and, of course, focus on your studies or work and track the progress visually.

You can download the app here if you are interested: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/miyu-your-focus-buddy/id6743077900

Any feedback is highly appreciated! The app is new, but I have a lot of features and interesting stuff planned.

Thank you!

Can’t use it because I’m still on iOS 15.

Is this like Tamagotchi because we can’t leave Miyu too long? Does it include soundtracks like Lofi girl?

Thanks for the comment!

It has Tamagotchi-like elements. For example, Miyu will be very happy and show confetti if you reach the daily goal. And she will be sad if you try to finish the timer too early. But the idea of leaving her for too long also sounds interesting. I would definitely think about implementing it!

And yes, the app has lofi tracks, 21 to be precise. I plan to add more tracks + add ambient sounds, like rain, for example.

You’re welcome. Did you mention about lofi tracks on the App Store? I don’t think you did or I missed it.

Is Miyu a chatbot?
