I really want to go there.

Apple could easily do this on-campus or 'support' a company to do this in Cupertino. The only thing close to this is the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. Woz and Jobs were both supporters with lots of apple Apple hardware on display. Worth a visit for American who want to see Apple History without flying to Prague.

I agree. It's weird they don't

Nice one.

The only thing that turns me off is their use of typography for the museum. Their poor choice of font/fonts – and check out the horrible, horrible kerning between the 'D' and the 'i' + the 'f' and the 'e' on the multicolored iMac window sticker. Yuk!
— I expect real attention to detail and fingerspitzgefühl when it comes to aesthetics for an Apple museum. Even if it is not 'by Apple'.

I am glad to see Prague thinks different...

How about Vegan food to support and win over more Vegan customers instead of worshiping false idols? (Most religions say worshiping false idols is a no-no... Never mind Jobs' treatment of people don't make him worth looking up to, as most people already know. :( )

Would absolutely love to visit this museum

Most of these parts exist in enough quantity -- since most people can't get free plane rides or any other form of welfare from Apple it might be cheaper to open up numerous locations globally. On the plus side, with all the taxpayer funded corporate welfare Apple gets, maybe a lot of people could fly the if those handouts ceased? Apple doesn't need help to stay afloat, which was supposedly the point OF welfare, during hard times, and for individuals along with corporations too.

IBM invented things like the hard drive and relational databases (SQL) and the very first computers ever made.

Well, as with many other things IBM didn't do anything with that invention. Larry Ellison quotes IBM when they presented him their relational database: "There is no value in a relational database, you can have it" So Larry picked it up and founded it's own company on it, and became and still is the market leader in relational database technology.

So inventing something and not realizing it's potential: that is quite an interesting way to source a museum.

Regarding innovation, IBM has the leader in patents going way back, and Microsoft is in the top list as well, both trouncing Apple's patent filings.

In 2014, IBM was first again, Samsung second, Microsoft fifth, and Apple moved "up" to eleventh

It's always kinda fascinating to see the conflating of "innovation" and patents, and then the comparison of patent quantities between companies which make so different things as do Apple and, say, Samsung.

So, do you somehow think that Samsung's patents relating to fridges and microwave ovens do have anything to do with Apple's patents?

Or is it just about mindlessly comparing numbers?
