A new Apple TV and HomePod mini could launch as soon as this month, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman today suggested.

In today's "Power On" newsletter, Gurman said that Apple retail stores are planning an overnight refresh on the evening of November 11, where changes will be made after closing, such as refreshing displays and placing new products for the following day.

The timing of the overnight refresh could simply be related to the holiday season, but there is a possibility that it relates to the launch of new Apple TV and HomePod mini models. Gurman notes that inventory of current models has become tight, likely signaling that new versions are on the way. He added that even if they do not launch by the end of 2025, they "shouldn't be far off."

The new Apple TV and HomePod mini will apparently "help showcase the new Siri and Apple Intelligence features planned for next year." During its earnings call earlier this week, Apple seemingly suggested that any more new Macs are off the table for the rest of 2025, making the new Apple TV and HomePod mini the most likely candidates for any remaining Apple product releases this year.

But what happens if Apple fails again to release the new Siri or it gets delayed until the end of next year. Why would I buy another device with promises of major features that are not ready. I was burned with the iPhone 16 Pro. Fool me once Apple is all you are getting. Completely my fault but I will never buy another Apple device on a promise of a major feature.

It’s clear these products will be released before the end of the year. The holidays are right around the corner, which is typically Apple’s biggest sales period. If stock levels are dropping and not being replenished, Apple wouldn’t let that happen unless a refresh is imminent.

It'll be hilarious if they release a "new" Apple TV that has some new compromise we haven't even considered, and is otherwise just a chip spec bump so it costs Apple less to keep making the same product.

One has to think like Tim Cook to envision just how disappointing this product could end up being.

If one of the features of AppleTV is to tout Siri improvements, I can’t imagine we see anything until March - which sucks in a way. 1) Selfishly. I’m personally waiting to hit buy on a new ATV. Just completed converting an old barn into a mother-in-law suite and its TV feel so dumb and 2) it’s a perfect gift for Xmas (not too $$ and pretty damn cool). But taking my personal needs out of the equation, I’d be surprised if they release another device that promises Siri features that aren’t ready. My guess is a new ATV is built and ready to ship but Siri isn’t.

But THE SECOND one is available for order, I’m in.

So we will likely see an announcement this week if the store changes are happening next week as that’s typically how Apple rolls out new products.

My local Apple Store has zero HomePod minis in stock until Tuesday and big retailers in the UK such as Argos and Curry’s have selected models marked for clearance. I doubt we’d see stock issues like this so far out from an announcement, whether it’s early in the new year or as far away as March.

amazing how these people at Bloomberg still get paid real money writing things like “Apple will launch something next week but if it doesn’t happen it will happen eventually”. Always have some get out of jail card. So what is the point of anything you write then? I mean everyone knows that something will happen eventually 🤣

All the talk about a Home Hub when today my current Apple TV does the job nicely. Why not make sure the next generation Apple TV handles all the next generation AI as the Home Hub. No need for another device.
