I'm looking forward to buying the high quality knockoff of this band on Amazon for $18.99, lol.

I like that band. I'll be waiting for the amazon knock off. I would never buy a band from Apple just out of principal.

If they had a Nike+ Sit Club app for that, I'd get one in several heartbeats ... no need to rush things.

So...because this is a limited edition and it sold out within a few hours, am I right in thinking there'll be no more of these available ever again? The only Nike Apple Watch pairing I've liked so far, looking to replace my launch Series 1 SS

Nike's latest Apple Watch, the Apple Watch NikeLab, is now available for purchase from the Nike website, Nike Lab stores, and the Apple Watch pop-up shop at the Isetan department store in Tokyo.

First announced last week, the Apple Watch NikeLab pairs a Space Gray Apple Watch Series 2 aluminum case with a black and cream perforated Nike band.

According to Nike, the Apple Watch NikeLab is limited edition and designed to be the "ultimate style companion" for runners. Like the existing Apple Watch Nike+, the Apple Watch NikeLab features a Nike watch face and integration with the Nike+ Run Club app.

Apple Watch NikeLab has the same pricing as an aluminum Apple Watch Sport at $369 for the 38mm model and $399 for the 42mm model. The new watch is available exclusively from Nike and the Isetan department store, marking the first Apple Watch that is not available in Apple retail stores and from the Apple website.

Apple and Nike first teamed up in September of 2016 for the Nike+ Apple Watch that launched alongside Apple's own set of Series 2 Apple Watch devices. Apple offers two Apple Watch Nike+ models in Silver and Space Gray aluminum along with standalone Apple Watch Nike+ bands.

"ultimate style companion"
The most accurate and succinct description of The New Apple. Timmy's Apple. Are you loving it yet, people? In Apple's ideal universe, there would be no-one over 25, there would be no-one with a memory, and, when someone said something referring to Steve Jobs, they would say, "Who is Steve Jobs?" Tim Cooke is a good custodian of a money-making machine, but virtually everything he oversees depresses the crap out of me. But, of course, I'm old.Who needs computers? None of the cool kids.
Apple has sold its soul. Not that it had much of one left to sell.
And I will get flamed, and people will say "Well Apple was always just a company." And, of course, that is true. Except that it wasn't "just a company " once upon a time. And that is why many of us are here. But, of course, we're old. And Apple has already left us behind. Bob Dylan wrote, "Money doesn't talk, it swears". And it does.

Sad in a way, I used to run with the Nike Running app, then got an Apple Watch. I wanted a bit more for running so I got a Polar M400 and would wear that while running and an AW when not, then I got a Garmin Fenix 5x and haven't worn the Apple Watch since.

I guess it's all what you want to do, but for the running enthusiast I think there's way better out there for the money.

how do you like the Fenix? Seems kind of large. Can you get imessage notifications?

Not until at least fall. Even then, I wouldn't expect a new gen this year.
Thanks for the info. I did not buy the 2nd gen, because it took months before they were in Stores in Netherlands and when they were available I could not try them as everyone was all over them. I lost complete interest. Now it feels like too old device and nothing innovative.

I love it, it comes in 3 sizes, 41, 47 and 51 mm. The 51 has maps on it (that's the one I have). It's a great fitness wearable when it's not a great running/cycling, multi sport activity tracker.

As far as feel, it is bigger but it's a circle, it kind of fits 'more normal' as compared to an Apple Watch if that makes sense. There is no touch screen, which for me is really good, I used to fumble with sweaty fingers on the AW back when I used it.

The stock band is total crap though, not as comfortable as Apple's sport bands.

It's much faster at updating pace than an Apple Watch, and can pair with ANT+ devices for different profiles. I've got some Garmin sensors to go along with it but like that I can just take it and leave the phone at home and get readings from a foot pod, tempe, HRM w/running dynamics, or cycling and hook it up to my speed/cadence sensor.

You can get all of your phone's notifications on it but you can't reply like an Apple Watch. (Personally I've turned mine off, I think I suffered from notification overload at some point).

My initial motivation for purchase was that I didn't want to take my phone with me anymore and wanted something that could connect to sensors on my bike. The real time running form feedback w/the HRM-Tri is a nice bonus.

God, MR feels like Jonestown. All have drunk the kool-aid. Nothing but lust for whatever nonsense that Apple will give you, knowing that you will buy like good sheep. Such an amazing, non-discriminating audience. You will literally take anything, and suck it up gladly.

It's a beauty. Unfortunately, the 42mm model is sold out (at least on the Italian Nike site).

To each their own. I personally love the look of this new band! But I totally see why so many people get mad at the 'color' releases. I also do have a couple of Amazon Apple Watch bands but I had an allergic reaction to the metal used for the pin. (I always have been sensitive to 'cheap' metals). Anyone know of any third party makers that literally uses the same materials as the Apple branded ones? I'm guessing since my skin obviously can 'detect' the cheaper metal used, part of the price premium in the Apple Watch is to ensure as few of these types of cases even happen with them.

BUYERS BEWARE: The Nike+ Run Club app that is integral to this version of the watch (and the other Nike+ branded Apple Watch models) does not work as advertised.

In fact, the app crashes the watch nearly every time it is used to record a workout, and the Watch needs to be rebooted. This is an issue that Apple and Nike are fully aware of. There are dozens of one-star reviews of the app due to its crashing of the watch. I personally have had an open support ticket with Nike for two months. Just yesterday, I received an update via email that stated:

This issue regarding runs randomly crashing while performing with the Apple Watch is one that many users have been experiencing. We have prioritized this issue and believe to have found the root cause. We're working to correct and implement this fix as fast as possible. There is not current timeline to share as of right now but I will be sure to keep you posted with any and all updates.

The thing is, Nike support has been telling me the same thing for several weeks now — that they have "prioritized the issue and believe to have found the root cause." It's a boilerplate reply. And the telling part is where they say "there is not a current timeline to share."

I've used Apple's Nike+ products ever since the launch in 2006. Until the change late last year to the Nike+ Run Club app, the products (shoe sensor and iPod receiver, then the Nike+ iOS app) have always worked great.
