Wrinkled/Uneven Spine

After reading this thread I purchased the Maroo Roto 2. It came today but I am really disapointed in the spine. It is all wrinkled and noticeably uneven when folded. Also, the cover doesn't appear to be new as it is too "broken in". Hard to believe the company would send out a product like this after previously saying the spine problem was solved.

* Maroo sent me another case that works well. This company has excellent customer service and a great pruduct. I highly recommend their cases.

Shoot us an email with some photos and we'll take care of you. :)

Looking for a non-leather case is becoming a bit of a pain. These say they are nylon but don't say the are leather/animal-free. Can someone verify?

leather quality

Just ordered the Moko II, was not sure about the leather quality and differences between this model and higher level leather cases at Maroo. Anyone with MokoII please chime in...looking forward to getting this and checking it out.

I ordered the Moko II back in May - right after I got my iPad - and have used it continuously ever since. It looks as good as it did when I purchased it and I feel like it gives really good protection. A friend of mine also ordered one right after I did and she has been really pleased with it too. Her iPad took a pretty big fall recently but wasn't harmed at all.

Thank you for asking the question. We have four cases that are completely nylon covers. The Mauau, Koru, Kaumata and Tatau.

Any idea when the Maunga II will be ready to ship? Can you elaborate on the difference between this and the Moko II? Tried calling today but the office was closed. Thanks.

The Moko II is made from Split Leather. Split leather is leather created from the fibrous part of the hide left once the top-grain of the rawhide has been separated from the hide. The Manunga is made from the top-grain of the rawhide. A much more appealing look and feel. We will be shipping the Manunga case on 11/29. Thanks for the inquiry.

Thanks for the response. Have you guys ever thought about adding a pocket for a MiFi? Ive been trying to find one and am having a really hard time. I know it would add a bit of thickness (about the width of an iP4), but I was thinking room could be created with a slightly larger spine. That way if you don't need the extra space, it wouldn't increase the thickness. I'm really considering your case because of the SG Bumper and a dedicated MiFi place would cinch the deal. The MiFi is a Novatel 4G version on Verizon.

We're always experimenting with new ideas. :)

I received my maroo mana2 case a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it!

I had previously been using a smart cover with a cheap TPU back that I got off of eBay. This design was much slimmer than the maroo case, but I found I was nervous bringing my iPad around due to lack of protection. After a few months of using this I decided to look for a folio style case.

I love the maroo design, its unlike any case my friends have, fits my personality and is an eye catcher. I was a little nervous that it would be too bulky and heavy, but it's really not. I can still sit in bed or on the couch and use it comfortably. I can use it in my restaurant and not have not worry when I put it in the hostess stand that someone knocking it over with damage my iPad.

Overall I highly recommend this case for anyone looking for a folio style.
I will definitely be ordering from maroo for any future iPads I buy.

I got my Maunga II case last week and I love it! The CS from the Maroo folks was excellent, shipping was fast, and the case is awesome. I love the look and feel and the SG bumper fits perfectly. Looking forward to spending more time with this case. It's so much better in every regard than the Apple smart cover and back protector I originally bought.

I nearly panicked tonight when I saw that a ballpoint pen in my teachers bag had left a long, winding dark ink line directly across the front of my expensive Kumara II case.

I moistened a Q-tip with a little rubbing alcohol and then gently wiped along the ink mark. It was completely removed. The leather on the case dried quickly--you can't even tell the ink mark was there.

The leather on this case is wonderful to touch--it is getting a little wear on the corners but then I use it alot...

Well worth the price overall.....

Must be bad lighting, camera, something, in that photo. My Kumara II is a very, very dark brown, almost black.

Correct. That photo does not give an accurate representation of the color of the case. It's a dark brown, not gold.

If anyone needs a Kumara II fine leather case, I'm selling mine for $50 plus postage.

It's a great case but I needed something slimmer since I carry both iPad and laptop in my briefcase.

If the case is still available, I might be interested.

Yes it is available. As others say the case is a very dark brown, but the photo is overexposed. That said the photo being overexposed, highlights the details of the leather so you can see it is in great condition. I used it for a month, before switching to a thinner smartcover style.
