Good point. Tell me what frequency should I set my stereo so I can listen to Beats 1 radio & hear the live broadcast of his program?

Is that a yes or a no?

Beats1 is only broadcast online, but you knew that already.

If you wanted to be really picky, I suppose we could start a new discussion about the definition of "radio", but if the answer to my previous question is "no" then, whatever else, it probably isn't a podcast.

I'm not sure what the original point was anyway, except to somehow belittle what it is.

A program is a performance. Any song is a program. So your definition is an audio program produced exclusively for distribution over the internet that can be only listened to by downloading and which is available to be subscribed to?

Any song is not a program. It would be a hard reach to even try to classify any single song by itself as a "program" period. I've never heard anyone refer to a song as a program, or songs as "programs". I'm almost certain you've not heard people commonly refer to songs as "programs" and before this conversation I doubt you in your mind have often thought of songs as "programs".

On top of that, none of the definitions I could find had something that I could see classifying a "song" as a "program". Nor did I see the word "song" or "program" mentioned in any of the definitions of either. Songs can be included in programs but I dont see how a song by itself can be classified as a "program".

The point is there are live radio programs that are podcasts.

I've never heard anyone when confronted w/ the definition of a podcast start saying songs are podcasts. Anyway, songs are performances, If the entirety of the performance is one song, that's the program.

Well I've never heard anyone say songs are podcasts either and I personally don't believe songs are podcasts. Also by what you just said, I take it you dont believe songs are podcasts as well ?

Oh wait, this about you missing the sarcasm as well as the point of why I made that connection earlier isn't it ? Well that was about seeing if you could defend the definition you initially tried to stand behind (which you couldn't) that would qualify a song as a podcast.

You've only ran away from that explanation and then tried to misinterpret words by creating false equivalencies with other terms as well as apparently misunderstanding a sarcastic comment that makes you now look to be seemingly contradicting the logic of the same definition you presented but couldn't defend.

and No, a "performance" (singular, by itself) is not a program. I've also double checked this too by multiple definitions. You're welcome to try to argue that or you can go ahead and avoid it and make that two arguments/definitions you've presented and then abandoned/failed to defend.

Um, I don't think anyone said it was revolutionary.

What is it about Apple and "revolutionary" that means any time - gasp! - they ever do anything that isn't revolutionary, they can't do it without a sarcastic remark about not being revolutionary?

Maybe its just me, but I find the whole thing a bit odd.

If you're expecting anything and everything Apple ever do to be revolutionary, you might need to reign those expectations back in, or be sorely disappointed.

Jonathan stop getting your Apple pants in a twist. Read this official Apple Press Release in relation to  Music that uses the word "Revolutionary" 4 times. Also Jimmy Iovine used the same word in his lacklustre product release.

Ah well Antonia, maybe people should take the language used in press releases with a pinch of salt, instead of having unshakable personal expectations based on them

And its three times, not four. :p

So far, it's failing to draw in this listener.
Yes Indeed...

Now, just seeing the word "Beats" brings up imagines of Thugs Beating "Their Bitches" Swilling Down Booz straight from the bottle as they gyrate around grabbing their manhood, thrust out as a prize to the other bitches around them.

Is this _Really_ the _Image Apple is Proud Of?

It's Nasty, Vile and Disgusting.
Most certainly keeping me and my colleagues away.
And we're only 35 to 40.

Pretty Trashy Apple!

A less hidden way is right on the Beats 1 page in iTunes. All the shows are there. Hopefully this will eliminate the need for a 12 hour repeat every day and fill the time with more live shows.
You need an Apple Music subscription for that.

Apple moved the most recent airing of a show out of the Connect tab, so now it's easier than ever to listen to your favorite podcast on-demand!
