New MBA (Midnight) arrived today. Original ETA was 3-8 August. Not that I'm complaining. However all of the stories re: the prints are true. Just transferring contents from my MBP....

Congrats! Yeah, the fingerprints are definitely a thing. You'll love it any way though.

Thanks for sharing your JOY.
Being that my M2 Silver MBA (8-C, 24GB, 1TB) is "Due" 8/2 - 8/10, I am thankful to have a heads-up that it might arrive early, so I don't have a heart attack from extreme glee seeing in on my porch before 8/2! LOL

I got mine today too! Question: how to I check mine for light leaks? I want to make sure I do this before the 14 days is up…

Go to a completely dark room and put on black wallpaper on the MBA. Then step back and see if there is any uneven in the light especially around the corners and edge of the screen.

Those of us who got our Mac Book Airs today, we have through August 10th to initiate a return if needed right? I always get confused if it’s 14 days including the day you received it or not…

OP and others, did you get an email that your M2 had shipped, and a tracking number along with that. I seem to recall that is what the Apple site said when I ordered mine. Also, our credit card would be debited at the time of shipment, so if we watch our card's site, we should be able to get an idea when it shipped even if Apple does not send a shipment notice. Just a thought.

Anyone know the approximate transit time from Suzhou, China is to the West Coast once actually shipped? Just curious.

Before my question gets buried in more comments:

Thanks!

My ETA is August 12 - 19. Hopefully that moves up. Not that it matters much, but earlier is always nicer! I'm excited.

Day of delivery +14 days.

The midnight looks too dark gray for my taste. Sorry.
It is dark. I like that specifically because I do not like to announce "Mac" when I am at a coffee shop or at the library. The current silver and space grey are known Mac colors and the midnight is more discrete.

Mine arrived 12 days before the estimated date- which in my experience, is par for he course for Apple, generally.

My original order said between 8/3 & 8/10. I got an email this morning, it said my M2 MBA was shipped and scheduled to arrive August 8. Doing the math from a previous, he/she‘s MBA that was “Due 8/3”, received his M2 on 7/27. If my M2 MBA comes 7 days prior to the actual shipment date’s sched date of arrival, so Monday.
*the poster mentioned here did not define what he/she meant by “due date”.

Ordered July 27 and got tracking this morning with a new ETA of August 9.
