2003 British Racing Green with White roof/mirrors/wheels. Non-S :(
Aww, that's okay. Everyone's motoring in a MINI. :D How do you like your MINI?

What's wrong with that? Sure, everyone's dream car is something like an Enzo Ferrari, but more realisticly, whats wrong with it being a Tiburon?

i would never buy a hyundai. ever.

Why? Because they make very reliable cars and beat out your precious Toyota as the #1 car manufacturer?

My wife just bought a new 2006 Elantra, Its perfect. Also they were #3 in the latest JD quality survey that was done. Just behind Toyota & Lexus. Iam very impressed with how its been assembled and the material used. I really think Hyundai are making the best value cars at the moment bar anyone from what i have seen.

Alright, so far I think I'm looking to get a new 2006 Accent. 4 wheel disc brakes and 15" alloy wheels under 15k is amazing. Plus add on to that power everything, 6 speakers mp3 system, ABS standard, side airbags standard, and a $1,000 rebate. I think I'm sold on this one.

It's cheaper than a yaris, roomier and has more of everything.

I just dont think going Hyundai is a mistake, they have a 100,000 mile power train warranty and 5 yr bumper to bumper plus add on a rebate and you have a lot of value. I was pretty surprised sitting in our Elantra's back seats. Lots of room and comfort. All the seams, welds are near picture perfect. They look like they are really going after Toyota in terms of Quality rather then just talking about it like GM or Ford.

The Caliber is ugly. I'd get a Hyundai Accent instead.....

Hahaha, "I'd get the Hyundai Accent..." Cute. :p They're both ugly, friend.

But no, Hyundai isn't a bad company at all. However, I'm not in North America and spent the last 2 hours at the Canadian Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and now Nissan sites, and that 3 door Yaris looks pretty good (without the spoiler). I'd like it in white.

It is costly, though. However, the Honda Fit is uglier and costler, but if you need a bigger car, then it seems ok.

I love it, but I got very envious when the VP of my company let my drive his S. Holy crap is there a difference. At the time though the standard MINI was more in my price range and it has served me very well and the handling is the same as the S so it's still a blast to drive. When it's time for a new car I'll most likely stick with MINI and go for the S, that is if I like the new model design. So far I'm not digging the changes but we'll see when the design is final.
I think I could be swayed over to the BMW Z4 Coupe

Psst, don't... do it... You'll regret it. You'll like like another one of those yuppies hitting their mid-life crises. Get an S, get one w/ the JCW kit. *drool* I do have an aftermarket 15% reduction pulley in; makes a world of a difference. :D

I was in class just now, and I got a call from my parents. "Come outside as soon as you can and bring your keys." I go out to see them driving a electric red 2006 Tiburon! I almost cried. The car of my dreams... <swoon>

That is so sweet! Congrats-- on having such sweet parents, and well, getting the car of your dreams. :D

Have you seen the JCW GP?
Only in pictures...

nice car. I was goign to say to try looking at a Chev cobat or a ford focus.

My sister got a 06 cobat and she loves it. (I honestly think it a nice for her. but I honestly hate the car. To small on the inside for me.)

Focus, my friend loves it and replace his 04 focus with a new one after it was totaled. He a very reible car.

I personly drive a 2004 Sentra Se-R Spec V. Yeah I love the car and I think it is great but it not the most pratical car. For the larger enginee I eat a little in gas mileage and when drive long distance that car beats the crap out of me. It supesion is stiff stock. And for big city traffic I some times start hating the fact my car is a manual. But I love my car and gladely put up with those little things because she is so much fun to drive and most of the time I like having a 6speed.

Either way enjoy you car and post pictures.

Wow, that's amazing! Your parents sound like they know you quite well. I doubt my parents would ever phone me up and say, "Hey son, we've chosen a car for you." No way. We have different taste, plain and simple (they like ugly things). :p

Listening to your story is like watchin an episode of Oprah.

(I don't watch Oprah, I swear) :(

Congrats :D I'm more of a fan of the rally red on the 03s and 04s but the electric red isn't bad.

What engine and transmission did you get?

btw, check out newtiburon.com, I'm on there, same username I am on here

Will you stop bashing Hyundai's already?
I don't like Hyundai's so why would I be supportive of them? It's cool you like Korean cars, more power to you. I don't find them to be a good investment so I'll tell it like I see it.

I'll support Korea in any way possible! I love Korea!
Anyway, the car is great, just got 58 miles on it. WooHoo!

They just got me the basic 4 cylinder GS model, automatic. It's just perfect for me. It's pretty quick for a 4 cylinder. As far as the quality is concerned, I find it top notch, and yes I have been inside Audi's, Porsches, and BMWs. Hyundai has excellent mechanical quality and reliability, the only area where they sometimes lack is build quality concerning accessories, paint, plastic parts, etc. but it's relatively rare now a days.

Unlike some people, I don't review and comment on things I don't own, and I don't let other's experiences influence me.

Well despite bashing that (ugly) new Accent earlier, I do own a 2005 Hyundai model that isn't sold in North America, unfortunately (comes with every option standard (but doesn't have power seats or sunroof as an option ;), but it's still good that it comes with everything)), I do love Hyundai's quality, so congratulations.

But yes, I do think the paint is probably a bit thin.

Congratulations, I saw a silver one today, In fact your car is why my wife wanted to check out Hyundai. We needed 4 doors but anyways. Take care of that puppy.

um, an enzo is not a dream car for me. sorry. I just think Hyundai has made pretty poor quality cars in the past, and would rather own a honda, toyo or nissan over a hyundai.

they are cheaply made with cheap materials. They arent known for their quality craftsmanship and resale value.

and where is this statistic that Hyudai beat Toyota as the #1 manufacturer?
what does that even mean? most cars built? highest revenues? most reliable? best resale? what? thats just some random BS statistic.
