I dont understand the love behind inductive charging (such as the Apple Watch.) It's still tethered to a cord to a wall, just not via a cord inserted into a device but onto the device. To me true wireless charging is having a charging station plugged into power and then charging my phone truly wirelessly up to 8 feet away from said station. THAT'S wireless.

Being limited with a cord like I am for an hour or two midday whether it's via inductive charging or via a port isn't wireless.

I agree with you for home use as I would always just plug it into a wired charger for maximum speed of charging.

For top up charges when you are out and about in a cafe/bar or somewhere, however, this would save you having to ask the staff for a spare charger etc.

That would be a significant benefit.

This comment sounds like it's straight from the 1970's

It's hip and I dig it baby . . .

'73 baby here brought into this world by the love and funk that happens in the bed by mom and pops listening to Disco. Pops shoot that funk, mom was Earth Wind and Fire brought the Taste of Honey and I tell ya the day after I was born Thank God it's Friday.

Yes that actually is a track, movie (Jeff Goldblum & Donna Summer, The Temptations) and a Soundtrack.

this sound is used when charging using apple’s forthcoming air power. This sound was shown during the keynote

Thanks, so if I understand correctly when charging wirelessly with a third party accessory you won’t have the sound but if you buy Apple’s overpriced Air Power accessory you will? Tsss..
