And that's exactly Apple do better than anyone else. "Classy products".
No, it is not "classy" to carry a pocket watch in 2014. It's silly. Just because it is old fashioned doesn't mean it's elegant. That just doesn't work, just like wearing a trench coat and fedora and smoking a pipe in 2014 doesn't work. If it's not ironic it basically communicates that you have trouble dealing with the presence. I don't think Apple wants to be connected to this kind of mindset.

Battery life

My thin Mophie adds tons of time and now gigs to my iphone why not a thin extra battery that can be easily swapped on like a belt buckle made to carry the extra battery and data? Make the belt carry all the stuff needed by the iphone. Or sneaker shoes built to carry extra hardware. Apple designer shoes. The idea for me is to NOT have to have a phone in my pocket that is bulky and hard to access. Add an easily disconnected earpiece that fits around the rim of the watch phone. Maybe yes some people will want it as a pocket watch.

Do we really need a camera on everything that we buy nowadays? No watch of any kind should have a camera on it. There is absolutely no reason for it.

Selfies with a watch...what a stupid idea.

It shouldn't be but the only reason The Verge (and now Mac Rumors) is drooling over this concept is because they think it's stylish. I think the Verge referred to it as the first good looking smart watch concept they've seen. Of course when it comes to wearables fashion and style are very important but functionality is more important and these slick looking concepts don't have to consider that, at least not in these sense of how the product is engineered, how the concept turns into a product a company could sell.

I don't know if you can say that functionality is more important than fashion. Wearables aren't like smartphones where you can just stick them in your pocket. The wrist is very prominent. Everyone will see you checking the time on your watch. So yes, a smartwatch that's long on looks and short on functionality isn't going to sell very much, but the reverse is also true-a watch that's long on function but short on looks is also not going to sell.

The Style Police never look silly. Why? Because they are the Style Police.

Does Apple ever design products just for looks?

Apple will make you feel your life is incomplete without whatever the iWatch will be. Apple redefine what is and isn't classy. If Apple did a good pocket watch, I'd buy it.

The whole issue with the iWatch is, what does it do that my iPhone can not do?

I can't wait to deploy the iWatch on my wrist. I truly do believe it could change the way we conceive a wristwatch forever.

keep waiting.... I bet this will be the same next year...

Why do you reckon Apple's taking a really long time with iWatch ? While they may want to do it right, several other companies "Samsung" as well have come out with the Gear 2.... while not a good look probably, its a product...

If Apple keep staying behind the times, but then only to surprise everyone "later on" like 2 years later. then Apple will always be the swore looser here.

I believe an iWatach will be available, but dunno when.... likewise with an Apple Television.

Then again, on the back-burner Apple could easily push the iWatch too.

Really?

Am I the only one that hopes the iWatch concept isn't real at all? I find it to be completely unnecessary.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make? (presuming you're not being ignorant that not everyone on Earth speaks English…!)

The concept misspelled "Notifications" into "Notificacions".
If I were to make a cool and beautiful concept like that, I would check all the spellings (at least the subtitles) on my concept picture.

Another idea I had.

What if Apple design this like a pocket watch of old?
Something like this but designed better.

Yeah, but we already have that in the form of iPod nano (albeit it's a rectangle). If you make like that, people won't use the (rumored) health censors as often. Besides, make it a tiny bit bigger and you'd just get a round iPhone.

I think the design of the one with the brown leather strap is a superior design than anything we've seen thus far.

I was (and still am) skeptical about the iWatch and its success, but if it looks anything like that Havana watch concept, I'm absolutely buying one.

Really? So someone spending time and effort to produce a visual rendering is not allowed, but yammering on about it on a rumours forum is okay to you? Stop posting rubbish please.

Exactly!

Let me think. Is your name Tim Cook? No. Is your name Jony Ives? No. Your name is "olivers". I don't think you have any say in who Apple hires and who they don't hire. And what this man did is indeed a very fine design. Maybe right now Samsung wishes they had hired him.

It does not work like that, Apple does not hire like that.

Get the designer's linkedin profile link, when he is hired by Apple come back and rub that on my face.
