True, but even more to the point, "good looking" is not a primary design criterion. These mockups consider virtually nothing about what the device will actually be designed do, and we know that is Apple's primary design criterion.
Anyway, a lot of people are going to be embarrassed when a product arrives that has as much in common with a watch as the iPad had with a laptop.
It shouldn't be but the only reason The Verge (and now Mac Rumors) is drooling over this concept is because they think it's stylish. I think the Verge referred to it as the first good looking smart watch concept they've seen. Of course when it comes to wearables fashion and style are very important but functionality is more important and these slick looking concepts don't have to consider that, at least not in these sense of how the product is engineered, how the concept turns into a product a company could sell.
