This would be something good to see at night.

Even just one visit, its well worth the trip

I've always thought this would've looked even better with the entire centre being one giant Apple logo. The aerial views on that would be amazing and distinguishable.

Agreed. I think that would have looked astounding in a flyby, but maybe just a bit too on-the-nose. Apple is (or used to be) more about subtle beauty, something that continually unfolds the more you look at it.

The place looks great in general, but the night look is far more amazing.

Yes, and I'm waiting to see the first direct overhead shots at night - I don't think the rooftop installations light up, so there will be indirect light coming up both the inner and outer edges. I think its going to look like a giant power button in a dark room.

Right now, every CEO that has had an ego project is banging their heads against the wall. Philippe Kahn and all the rest are just wishing they'd thought of all this.

Everything about life is cyclic. Apple grew out of One Infinite Loop, and now has a second one. I think that's very symbolic.

I see what you did there (loop)!

So when will the camping out for employee brass autographs begin at Apple Campus 2 arrival and Apple Campus 1 exit?!

Looks like a LOT of cubicles within the R&D centre are ready to go, as well as that huge dual parking lot. The walking area, trees and such are not ready ... and any heavy rainfall prior to move it will set that completion back as well.

PS: Speaking of rain ... has anyone not noticed that between the auditorium, main circular building, parking and the R&D centre that anyone that needs to move between any of these will be soaking wet during rainfall when they have to?

The look inside must be great.

Yeah I had just wished a drone pilot would've been BOLD enough int the early stages to cruise, even if very slowly alongst the edges or inside - yet I think Apple would cease any drone activity. Curious if some sort of secret donation or contract was done with this drone guy and Apple?
(more powerful iMac and say iPad Pro pls, some good editing software Apple).

Apple can afford to buy some umbrellas and stock them in the lobby entrances of their various buildings for employee use.

Walking a few minutes in the rain isn't a big deal, even here in California.

I wonder how many people have car accidents driving by and gawking at the building. I drive by it every night after work and it's hard not to turn and look at the thing.

Also, anybody in the area seen what's going up on the corner of Arques and Wolfe? Looks like a mini version of the spaceship.

This past winter aside, it hardly ever rains here.

My dad and I were at the Lowe's across the street last week, so I saw that site. It actually seems to be more of a trefoil-type thing: http://www.centralandwolfe.com/#1

Interesting! I had to laugh at those conceptualized pictures...no images of the heavily congested roadway outside (Wolfe) or the large Lowe's next door. You can see the resemblance to the Apple Campus though, with the rounded building and multiple tiers. Can't imagine how bad traffic will be there once whatever that is opens. Same problem on Lawrence and Homestead once the Apple Campus opens.

Then you've not walked by me. I'm a complete magnet when it comes to rain and even for a 5mins flash rain in the sun I'm always soaked! Not exaggerating either, dead serious.

Umbrella's are nice ... but I was thinking about their products being exposed. Right now only the iPhone is set for water resistance - sure AirPods may withstand sweat (according to test not officially). Still would love to see this campus. May after Mr Olympia contest this August.

No... then they'd be in the umbrella sourcing and managing business. Have you already forgotten the orchard discussion?
Yes, yes, I remember that utterly comical discussion that it degraded into.

At least one MacRumors user would say that umbrella sourcing is ONLY FOR PROFESSIONALS, can't be handled by college-educated Apple employees or managers.

Only Umbrella Specialists would be qualified to manage umbrella activities because lil' ol' consumers don't know how to stash a pocket umbrella in their bags or carry a raincoat (as done for centuries).

So your physical existence defies all laws of physics and randomly generates rain showers?

Come to California, we have a nice meteorology throne for you waiting in the southern region of the Central Valley!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Nice try, dude, but no. You are not that gifted.

:p

Not impressed by the filming this time I would have loved to see more of inside the sapaceship instead of parking spaces and trucks. The night shot was cool

The use of drone footage is getting almost as old as this round office block.

Apple Park, Apple's second campus in Cupertino, California, is set to have its grand opening this month, and ahead of its official debut, last minute construction and landscaping is continuing on at a rapid pace.

As part of a mid-month update, drone pilot Duncan Sinfield has shared a new video of Apple Park, this time getting some gorgeous nighttime shots of the campus lit up at night. In the evenings, the lights on the ring-shaped main building stay on, and it's an impressive sight.

The nighttime shots are towards the end of the video, which also shows the completed parking structures, landscaping work with hundreds of trees being planted, final construction on the main building, furniture installation, and more.

While employees are set to start working at Apple Park at some point in April, landscaping and construction on auxiliary buildings will continue into the summer.

So that's where all the trees went!

Judging by the hue of the night time lighting, Apple are making full use of the Night Shift function.

Wow, that's some building, though I'm surprised to see how close they are to some houses.
