It's hard to find the perfect fitting earbuds, since everyone has different ear canals, but they do fit well for me, even better than the old ones and I'm really happy with them.

what i love about this new earbud is u can still hear the bass without sealing your ear completely like other in earphones. other in earphones seal your ear so when you touch the cable, you can hear some weird sound, even humming makes it sounds weird.

Better than beats by dre dre.

These earphones are truly impressive, lightyears ahead of the older ones for sure by apple. I'm not an audiophile, but to me the bass sound natural and the other ranges good overall as well. I think these earpods actually sound better overall than my beats studio by dre dre - and these cost $hundreads$, which sound incredibly muddy in comparison (but still above average). Of course they don't beat my sennheisser hd650 in clarity, but due to the difference in size it's almost ridiculous to compare them in the first place. For $30 earphones they are amazingly comfortable and sound pretty darn good. I made this macrumors account simply for this one post, because I believe credit should be given when it's due.

I took my earbuds out of the box for the first time today. Just my luck, the left earbud doesn't work. Rockin' mono style. Tested it on multiple devices and it's certainly defective. Pretty disappointing. Heading back to the store tomorrow.

They are surprisingly nice, but I'll be sticking to my JH16's. I don't feel comfortable with buds.

Awesome compared to the old earbuds. At the same price, I don't even understand why Apple puts the old ones in with the 4S and 4 unless it's a packaging thing. The new ones actually fall out of my ears more easily, but I think it's because they're not meant to be jammed and plugged in there.

I still wish I could afford a set of Bose noise-canceling headphones. I tried a $300 pair at a noisy Best Buy once and couldn't hear the TV 10 feet away. Pop a microphone on those and you have an awesome setup.

While there are several other brands that I would choose over these I will have to admit they are impressive!
For some headphones that come free I really like them!

main question is...

Will the new earbuds make me want to set aside my cheap Skull Candy ones. Those fit quite well for all the head banging metal music I listen to.

What most people refuse to realise is that 90% of the world are not audiophiles, and do indeed use the stock headphones.

So this is a genuine improvement! I've even used the new ones a few times, which says a lot :D

Have also recommended them to all my friends that use the original ones. Gosh I hate the bleed on those things.

Coming from Klipsch S4i, Apple's earbuds are pure crap.

Yeah part of me wishes Apple would buy Klipsch, instead of investing however much in the A&R of these new headphones. But oh well.

well worth the $30. I'm grabbing these over my etymotics for on the go stuff. I can bang these up and not care. Fits fine, don't have to mess with inserting foams. I wish they came in black.

No they aren't. They are worth "free" if you get them with an iPhone but even a $15 pair of skull candy or ifrogz are still better.

Can anyone recommend the best earphones for running?
I jog regularly and it's driving me nuts trying to find a pair that stay in.
