Not sure what you're driving at. Live and let live meant: Live your own life, I won't interfere, and don't force your stupid nonsense on me.

When you start forcing your ways on other people, that's not "tolerance".
I don’t know what you mean by “forcing your ways on other people”.

No one is forcing you to use any of the new, more inclusive emoji. If you don’t want to use them, don’t. Others will.

Live and let live. Others using emoji that you don’t like doesn’t affect you in the slightest.

Do your own thing. Use what you like, and others will do the same.

That would be great, if that were actually case. The market has been told not complain about certain things that they didn't ask for, but get anyway...or they'll be labeled a bigot, for simply opposing the inappropriate.
Who decides what’s inappropriate? You, or the world at large?

You claim to be a tolerant person, but when you start forcing your ways on other people, that's not "tolerance"

Comments like that I consider to be intentionally incendiary. People in general know what is appropriate and inappropriate, and it isn't up for debate. However there are some degenerates that, once they achieve positions of power or prominence, seek to push the boundaries (or exceed them wildly) of "appropriate". In last 10 years or so, this has started to happen at a rapid pace, and most people are utterly sick of it.

Nobody is forcing anything. There are choices and options out there.
Yeah, I'm sorry, you're wrong. I don't think you have the first clue what is really going on these days. None of these things are presented as options or choices. And we're not talking about emoji anymore.

The world at large decides what is appropriate and not appropriate, not PastaPrimav. If you don’t like it, tough crap. What “degenerates” are pushing the boundaries (or exceeding them wildly) of what you deem appropriate?

What’s not appropriate, a dude in a dress? lol get over it. Who cares? If you don’t like it, don’t wear one. What most people are utterly sick of is self-appointed holier-than-thou morality police who think their intolerance should matter to others.

What are you talking about then? If the snowflakes can’t deal with the world at large, that’s their problem, isn’t it? No one has the right to a world that conforms to their personal wishes.

Since you’re being presumptuous can you tell us what is really going on these days?

PNG files can encompass every emoji that has been or will ever be invented. No iOS updates required. Infinite backwards and forwards compatibility. No censorship! No race problem either! Identical presentation across all platforms!

Seriously, it's mind boggling that people are sitting around bitching and moaning that Unicode Emoji doesn't have a "purple polka dotted tri-gendered wallaby wearing half a wedding dress while eating fried green tomatoes", when they could have that RIGHT NOW, or 20 YEARS AGO, with revolutionary PNG technology...

You're not wrong. I would have been happy with the dozen circular yellow non-representational faces showing different emotions. And a few cat emoji. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed.

Now they're doing a bad job of trying to build a complete set of modern hieroglyphics, but they're only creating nouns, so it doesn't work as a language. Someone should stop submitting suggestions to the Unicode Consortium, or they should learn to say no.

No one is stopping you from sending out pngs or gifs and the existence of stickers prove that. But there is value in having a common shared set of glyphs.
