If the window previews are too small for you, just press the spacebar while in Exposé and it'll do something awesome. :)
Not everything is about the keyboard. I have a hot corner defined to call up Expose with my mouse. When switching between a lot of video windows I don't want to have to resort to pressing a key. If that were the case I'd just use CMD+TAB.

Like I said, I can live with it and certainly welcome the text below each window now. But again, I can see why they are complaining.

The safari window is minimised in the dock, thats why its small and thats also why its below that line.

Its a great new feature for expose. Anything thats minimised in the dock will show up beneath that thin line you can see in your screenshot when you activate expose.

Nice! I wasn't aware of that SL feature, thanks. AND they now show the names of all windows (a blessing for those of us who work with boring ol' text files all day.) Woohoo!

I'm starting to see why there are Expose complaints. I don't understand how a minimized window should be larger than those that aren't:

And this is a problem why? You have enough information to know which window belongs to which program. And that's what Expose is for.

I always thought Expose was supposed to be a type of application switcher. A glorified Alt+Tab.

Exactly.

The new Exposé is fantastic, IMHO. If the window previews are too small for you, just press the spacebar while in Exposé and it'll do something awesome. :)

Exposé is pretty powerful actually, I'm impressed with how well it integrates with other OS features, such as drag 'n' drop and the Cmd-Tab switcher.

For instance, I frequently had to drag files into Interface Builder windows, so I'd start dragging the file by dragging the icon in the titlebar, then open Exposé. Then I'd hit Cmd-Tab to bring up the app switcher, and drag the file onto the Interface Builder icon, so Exposé would only show IB windows. Then drag the file onto the relevant window, and hit space to select it immediately, then drop it.

Impressive 'power user' stuff, IMO.

I always thought Expose was supposed to be a type of application switcher. A glorified Alt+Tab.

Well, perhaps I'm being pedantic, but for most people it's more of a window switcher than an app switcher. An app switcher isn't much use if you have one or two apps but perhaps 10 windows open.

Perhaps OSX needed Exposé functionality more than Windows did; given that Cmd-Tab doesn't show windows, just individual apps.
