A necklace AI that acts as your friend? I've seen this before, back in 1979:

Thanks to Twiki wearing Dr. Theopolis, prior art has been established.
Also, if it takes off, the estate of Glen Larson should be raking in a lot of dough!
If it makes Twiki's bl-blli billi bl sound (you try turning that sound into text!) then I'm sold. However im more likely to lose friends as i get Friend to make the Twiki sound constantly for my amusement.

....that's a real thing? Ye Gods... I'm just not getting it... it's a thing that hangs round your neck that sends banal and trite messages to your phone, so you then have to read them on your phone, and the light goes on and off... and that's a friend? A companion?
That guy at the end, sorry dude, you've been replaced by an electronic trinket. Hope they'll be happy together.

I guess tech-bro AI shills are so despicable, that now they have to invent friends to replace the ones they lost

Said it before that's all you need right now. Camera and mic connected to phone. There will be a ton of devices like this very soon and they'll be even cheaper.

Hahahaha, really?!? Hey kids, a bit of advice: Put down the phone and the PS5 controller and go talk to the kid next door. Maybe even ride your bike next door, if you ever learned to ride one. Man, we are so screwed as a society.
