You can get a firefox extension called "Reload Every" which, as its name suggests, will automaticaly reload a page at a specified interval.

Just be sure and don't refresh the maintenance page

I don't know about NASA but at least Scaled Composites had some Powerbooks at ground control when they launched SpaceShip One.

I agree, but, why would Apple have those sites go down around 2 pm local times for a price change? In recent weeks, it's been 1 am local times when they've done that.
