New iBook and Mac mini Part Numbers?

Under the "We'll be back soon" graphic it says the store "will be back within the hour." I think that went up about 50 minutes ago? Maybe there's another 10 minutes to go? Or not.
 
Seems that the UK store is redirected to

http://store.apple.com/maintenance.html

i.e. no UK reference in the URL, that's why it seemed that teh US store was out. OH well, will check back in a bit to see if anything interesting has happened.

Any more stories on iPod Shuffles being updated, BTW? My girlfriend was going to get me one for my birthday (26th Aug.) but i suggested holding out 'til a bit closer to the time, just in case!

My guess is either 6 AM or 7 AM Cupertino, U.S. store will go down, and most stores will be back up 15 min later. Hey, except for the prices, it is completely sufficient if the U.S. store comes back within 15 minutes.
 
E-mail: Great deals on back-to-school essentials

Recieved an e-mail early this morning from the Apple Education store with that subject line. Basically just reitterating the ipod mini promotion, dashboard, and the other Mac specials.

I'm thinking they're hoping that most students will get the e-mail sometime later today, when the updates already happen. But, if that's the case, why not just wait to send the e-mail until the update does happen? The pysch classes I've taken in college are driving me nuts right about now! :)

That page always says "within the hour." It is usually a filthy stinking rotten lie.

At least the Single Proc. G5 has finally disappeared from the UK store! Took some time, and i'm sure that has also been noted somewhere here, already!

Ok, so the UK store has been down for over an hour now, but I have to say that I'm a little concerned that the US store is still up. What can this mean?
