I think you're all nuts. This is gorgeous and I would buy it the second pre-orders came up. If I haven't been clear, I think this concept is AWESOME.

All I can say you better buy AppleCare with this product. I am waiting for the repair costs for these new iMacs. I dont think it is going to be pretty. Here is a example, my gaming monitor had a PCB problem recently. But while it was in the shop getting repaired I could hook up a second monitor and continue to work. If you have a bad display you got to send it all in for repair. So you are down without a computer while a monitor is getting fix.

I was concerned about that in the past. Those sccreens seem to be pretty reliable, so far. (More reliable thann the keyboards)

bulky. angular. Ugly. wheres the 'weightless aesthetic', no soul. This whole trend including the 'cheese grater' is so UNapple and frankly disappointing. While the iPad and MacBook aesthetics are improving, the Macs are embarrassing. I know this is a "concept" image so lets hope Apple isn't getting any ideas.

Problem with current iMac is airflow.. the dusts get trapped behind the LCD panel, resulting smudged/dirty-looking display over time. Happened with my old 2012 iMacs, and continued until the most recent ones, even with Apple Store demo units.

Hope this M1X redesign solves the chronical problem.

I'm not sure I understand how the iPad and MacBook gets approving aesthetics given they look like this concept.

If you're talking soul, they you need to go back to the G4 iMac days. Everything after it could be considered soul less.

The iMac has been an all in one for its entire existence. This is nothing new and common knowledge. If someone has a faulty computer these days, they will leave to either get a second monitor or just bring their iMac out to Apple to get it fixed. In either scenario they have downtime.
