Some bumper/case MFG'rs show the S7 bumper/case is the same for S6,S5 and S4, so I'm confused if the S7 is physically bigger or not... I guess I'll find out when mine arrives.
This is the exact case I’m trying to buy cause I have one for my series 3 and love it. There’s an answered question on the product page that says it will not fit, but then the product listing gets updated and says it will. Very confusing.

He didn't though cause he was wrong. The case increased by 1mm, not the screen.
With the new design the case curves a bit more which results in a smaller glass and a bigger case relatively. This way more of the bezel is covered by the case and the screen looks even bigger on the photos. That's what he referred to and what I can confirm. I've overlayed the press photos of series 7 and SE. There is two glass borders visible: the inner one is the 7 and the outer one is the SE. It's not much, but it's there. Didn't Apple even mention this in the keynote? Series 7 has a slightly bulkier design.

You're not wrong, the case does wrap around a little bit more, but that isn't why the screen looks bigger. It is actually bigger, it's not an illusion. Here's a comparison image 9to5Mac came up with...

Of course it‘s bigger. By 20% actually! I‘m not questioning that. And neither did the author of the original comment stating that the design changed and further exagerates the size of the display.

Just received my Series 7 45mm Cellular in (PRODUCT) RED. I’m coming from the Series 6 44mm Cellular that was also red but the S7 red is noticeably deeper and more intense and I really love it… Even though only 1mm larger than my S6’s screen the S7 screen manages to appear more than 1mm larger, thanks to Apple tweaking the screen and reducing the horribly obvious bezel on the S6. I loved my S6 but soon after getting it I’d already started wishing for a slightly larger display and a bit faster charging, so moving on to the S7 was a no brainer for me personally bcoz it came with those 2 wishes granted! I’ve seen the green version on a few wrists already and it confirmed I was right to avoid getting that color(?), after seeing my red S7 2 guys said they wished they had gone for the red too, definitely 2 cases of “act in haste and repent at leisure…” methinks! I was glad the S7 didn’t arrive with the much speculated about (and hoped for…) “squared off sides” because I thought every rendition of it online was down right ugly! My 13 Pro Max looks gr8 with its squared off sides but I would not be so positive about an Apple Watch that was so drastically changed physically, that’s for sure. If as rumoured again Apple will release the S8 Apple Watch with the squared off sides I’ll be keeping my beautiful S7 for a few new generations of Apple Watch and hopefully by then I’ll have warmed to its drastic new appearance and be ready to upgrade (I strongly suspect a longer lasting battery and even 5G cellular connectivity will have also been added…). I’ll end by saying that if you are someone to whom the admittedly modest changes that come with the S7 appeal then go ahead and go for one, it’s your wrist that it will be on not someone else’s!

Agreed. I upgraded from a 6 and I have zero regrets. The larger screen resolution is very noticeable and appreciated. I also like this version of blue better than the much darker blue on the 6.

Went from S5 to S7 SS. Very nice! I’m a sucker for latest stuff. However, I’ll probably upgrade if there is another type of medical benefit like glucose measurement. Amazing if it’s even possible.

Good to hear that you too are happy with your Series 7. A friend has just bought the blue version and I’ve seen it side-by-side with his Series 6 and the shade of blue is more intense which I agree with my friend that it looks more classy…. :))
