This is the exact case I’m trying to buy cause I have one for my series 3 and love it. There’s an answered question on the product page that says it will not fit, but then the product listing gets updated and says it will. Very confusing. Some bumper/case MFG'rs show the S7 bumper/case is the same for S6,S5 and S4, so I'm confused if the S7 is physically bigger or not... I guess I'll find out when mine arrives.
With the new design the case curves a bit more which results in a smaller glass and a bigger case relatively. This way more of the bezel is covered by the case and the screen looks even bigger on the photos. That's what he referred to and what I can confirm. I've overlayed the press photos of series 7 and SE. There is two glass borders visible: the inner one is the 7 and the outer one is the SE. It's not much, but it's there. Didn't Apple even mention this in the keynote? Series 7 has a slightly bulkier design. He didn't though cause he was wrong. The case increased by 1mm, not the screen.
You're not wrong, the case does wrap around a little bit more, but that isn't why the screen looks bigger. It is actually bigger, it's not an illusion. Of course it‘s bigger. By 20% actually! I‘m not questioning that. And neither did the author of the original comment stating that the design changed and further exagerates the size of the display. You're not wrong, the case does wrap around a little bit more, but that isn't why the screen looks bigger. Agreed. I upgraded from a 6 and I have zero regrets. The larger screen resolution is very noticeable and appreciated. I also like this version of blue better than the much darker blue on the 6.I’ll end by saying that if you are someone to whom the admittedly modest changes that come with the S7 appeal then go ahead and go for one, it’s your wrist that it will be on not someone else’s!
Good to hear that you too are happy with your Series 7. A friend has just bought the blue version and I’ve seen it side-by-side with his Series 6 and the shade of blue is more intense which I agree with my friend that it looks more classy….Agreed.
