My wife and kid both need newer phones and are waiting on these updated SEs, so hopefully the report is right.

Wife still grouses that all the current phones are too big though. She liked the original SE chassis best. ?

Why buy new phones? I buy all my iPhones 2nd hand. Bought a mint in the box 256GB XS Max for my daughter this fall for $300. Why would anyone spend more than that on an iPhone? Indistinguishable from all the current line for 99% of users.

Forse tireranno fuori almeno un Mac Mini aggiornato, anche se ho rinunciato al nuovo iMac Pro in uscita presto.

Because some people want a brand new battery, warranty and the option for Apple Care+. I don't think anything is wrong with buying a second hand phone but not everyone is alright with that.

Also, whether you agree with it or not, Apple doesn't make all new OS features available on older hardware. For instance, with iOS 15.4, Face ID will work with masks, but only on iPhone 12 or 13

I'd skip the Series 7 watch. Rumours are strong that the 8 will be a redesign. I bought a used stainless LTE 4th gen for $200 as my first Apple Watch this year and my next upgrade would be to the 8th. A Series 5 would be ideal with the always on screen but I wanted stainless and stumbled across the one I bought.
It’s for my mom and her BD is befor the fall when the new Apple Watch would be available. Just getting her the very best for her. It will be her first and I am sure it will last her a long time.

I don't think you got my reply, the high-end Mac Mini has been rumored to be launching since forever now, it was supposed to come out alongside the new MBP's last fall, but didn't, as you can tell by the on going chip shortage (and 4+ weeks of shipping estimates on the MBPs), and also perhaps a marketing decision to not undercut the more expensive MBP, it didn't materialized then.

Now we were expecting it in the Spring event, but no more info has leaked, while new SE and iPad Air leaks come out every other day.
Currently given an estimate date of March21 for an Oct26 MBP 16”M1max order. So given the current state of mess that is going on with Apple production and logistics, I think it’s wise they announce at least Mini and IMac Pro now, so you can order it to receive by fall…

I want to get an iPad, I have tried the new mini and did not like it. I tried the entry level iPad it just felt like I was back in time, did not like either. I have been going back on forth on the iPad Air and iPad Pro 11. Right now the iPad Air is out dated and the iPad Pro 11 does not have XDR. I have been on that buy now button several times because Best Buy is offering the iPad Air for $499 and the iPad Pro 11 is $799 and Apple will increase it when it gets XDR. This pushes this iPad to MacBook Air prices. There's got to be iPads released in a couple of months, right.

Not much different from my iPad Air 4. I’ll stick with it, it’s plenty fast enough for my needs.

Why buy a new car when you could have used?

Why buy a new PS5 when you could have used?

Why buy a new house when you could have used?

Because not everybody wants to purchase something ‘used’. The secondhand market isn’t really appealing for some people who prefer new, even if that means paying more. Nor do I believe that buying secondhand used is always a smartest option with smart phones, unless it’s direct through Apple that was refurbished with a warranty. That would be the only exception.

But the key takeaway is, we all have choices, and I would rather purchase new, strictly on a preference, rather it be something as small as a smart phone to a larger investment like a house.

It would be great if they gave the Air a ProMotion display. I think it’s time for 120 Hz to start trickling down into the non-Pro products.

How is the iPad Air outdated? It’s the current Air model and a pretty powerful tablet. I don’t get that statement at all.

If its only chip upgrade from A14 to A15, I would hardly call it "new iPad Air".
Just an upgrade and, for the average user, pretty minor at that.
Well see what they release tho.

It's pretty hard to see what can they do with the iPad Air in addition to the usual spec bump, which is quite meaningless to be honest as none of the current iPad's are held back by their performance but rather software. Add any more high-end features and the Air will become the Pro. With the current software it's hard for me to think of anything I would like to be better on my 4. gen iPad Air. Longer battery life? Better speakers? Mini-led is probably a long way off from coming to lower-end products.

The iPad Air 4 gets a very poor reception on this form for some reason and mostly by those who have the Pro models. It’s a decent tablet and has enough of the Pro features for people like me and i’ll likely never push it anywhere near close to its performance potential.

But that would give people less reason to go pro
Sure, but then they'll just need to add a new high-end feature to the Pros to maintain the separation. That's kind of the name of the game, right? Trickle down Pro features to the consumer line while adding new features to the Pro lines. I just think it has been too long for the ProMotion exclusivity to still be held by the Pro lines - we're going on five years since its addition to the iPad lineup.

I'd at least like to see them meet consumers in the middle and give the consumer displays a 90Hz refresh rate. That way it's better than 60Hz but the Pros can still have their distinguished feature-set.
