Ive had an Ipad, Ipad 2, and just got the new Ipad. Was going to set up, but it is telling me that I need a seperate sim card? Is this accurate? The other two were plug and play, but this needs a seperate piece?

    Can someone please explain?

    Thanks

You can put your SIM card in the iPad 3 but you'll be limited to 3G speeds rather than LTE & 4G.

Yeah, but if you bought a 4G iPad, it should have a SIM card installed already.

Pop open the SIM tray and push it back in. See if it seats itself better. Of course, if there is no SIM in the tray then head back to your retailer for one.

Not here they don't. You buy the iPad then go choose from one of five carriers.

If you're outside us or Canada, the iPad won't work on LTE so your iPad2 sim should work. Only LTE requires a different sim. I've used my AT&T iPad 2 sim in my Verizon ipad3 and it worked fine.
