New iPad Pro 12,9"?

Hello :)
last I heard the iPads are rumored to be updated. I am looking for a new iPad Pro 12,9". Have there been any more recent rumors about this? Maybe when the new MacBooks arrived?

I need to change my iPad Pro 12,9" 256 GB into a iPad with a SIM card option.

Laura, seriously, just have a look at the Macrumors website! All relevant chitchat is there already, but to make it easy for you, as far as I remember, no leaks yet. Just the usual speculations. True tone and 3D Touch are in the rumour mill for a while. Maybe some beefier hardware, as usual, stronger CPU would be possible, the usual evolutions.

the mac pros haven't been updated in 3 years, the mac mini hasn't been updated in 2 years, the imac hasn't been updated in 1 year

the imac has tons of problems with poor quality on the 5k screens which is the selling point to begin with

its a good thing you're only interested in the ipad because if you wanted a desktop you'd find nothing but disappointment.
 
March is your month. Just get an iPad Pro with sim support now and sell it later/give to a relative for a new one. Easy.

Hi Laura,

I am also waiting for the new 12,9, I agree with everyone, I am sure it is going to be announced in March! It becomes so versatile with cellular, so great choice.

Agreed. But they still sold the 2012 classic Macbook with CD drive and rotational disk until 2016. They made no updates to the design but kept a low level of production making the same old product. This is what is happening with the Air. However, from where Apple is going the Air is a dead design.

What would be the new design? The new MacBook is not really a "new" design. It's only a thinner version of and old, old, design. A new color is nice, but not really a new design.

Sorry I should have said MacBook Pro. But, even for those your comment has some validity. Not a lot of groundbreaking things going on at Apple these days.

Compared to the competition, I'd say Apple's focus on quality, customer support, and security are all 'groundbreaking'.

OLED screens and wraparound edges aren't 'groundbreaking' in any meaningful way. Or are you expecting some complete paradigm shift in computing every 365 days?

With the Macbook Pro I was mentioning, additional memory options and increase performance, and a less than a $400 price increase would have been better than what we got.

I was lucky to get once to a start only 128 but that is a good enough for me

I bet there is going to be a refresh sometime between now and 2020. And if they refresh it in March, you better wait a year or two for further refreshes!

Just buy it now and enjoy it.

Disagree. You're paying for year old tech with no price drop. An iPad Pro you buy today will be obsolete the same time as an iPad Pro someone else bought a year ago. Wait a few months and get another year of iOS support on the back end.
