I‘ve just got my new iPad Pro 12,9“ with 1 TB. I really love it. Upgraded from Air 4.

But also have to admit, that I don‘t see much improvement from LCD to Mini LED. It‘s something between LCD and OLED.

When I look at the specs, 8-core M2 processor, 1 TB and 16 GB of RAM, it should be enough for many many years. But how we know Apple they will disable new features in the OS with the next updates only to sell the newer devices. And make the older ones slower. But I‘m not gonna buy a new iPad for the next 6-7 years now.

Yeah. The iPad-10 is best for people who want a landscape camera and the new-style Apple keyboard; otherwise refurbished Air all the way.

Even more of a terrible deal. A base non laminated iPad with not enough storage and an overpriced keyboard is equivalent in price to an M2 iPad Pro

However... it is not equivalent in price to an M2 iPP with its overpriced MK.

Storage size is subjective; I consider 128GB "not enough".

Not until the iPad gets a M chip and Pencil 2 support and a Laminated display.

At that point just drop the base iPad.
I don’t get why they couldn’t bring the second pencil to the base iPad…

Drop the base?

No way, especially during an economical slowdown.

You’re right, an M2 iPP w/ no keyboard is far better value than a 10th Gen iPP with a keyboard folio.

If 128gb is insufficient, what does 64gb mean?

If you include the price of a trackpad keyboard on one iPad, you have to include it into the other which means your price comparison is a red herring.

It means that both 64GB and 128GB are insufficient for MY needs.

Which iPad Pro model is better, the 11 inch or the 12.9 inch, from a portability, usability (Stage Manager multitasking), and screen (Led on the 11 inch vs miniLED on the 12.9 inch) perspective?

I wonder if the new iPad means the Air will be discontinued soon.

Somethings clearly happening. That $240 keyboard hasn’t been developed to just work with one iPad.

Personally I think next October you’ll see the Air discontinued, an 11th gen iPad with a laminated screen as it’s replacement , and this years 10th gen iPad kept with a price drop (and possibly named the iPad SE). The budget 9th gen iPad will then be discontinued. New Pros will then follow with OLED in early 2024.

What then happens with the Pencil? I feel they’ll move to have the magnetic Pencil be exclusive to the Pro with a redesigned smaller Pencil with USB C connector being used by the iPad and iPad SE.

Does anyone know which company manufactures the WiFi 6E radio in the iPad Pro? Is it Broadcom? Intel? Another vendor?

The new Pros are nice, but my all-time favorite iPad is the iPad mini. I had a few iPads over the years but I remember the Mini more fondly than the others, including the Pro. The smaller form factor was the perfect size for my needs and it made the device feel very personal and special, it was a joy to use every time. I think it's my number 2 ranked apple device of all time with the iPad Nano ahead of it.

After getting used to ProMotion on the Pro, I wish the mini had pro motion.

I'm guessing it'll be a few days until someone does a teardown before we know for sure, but I'd expect Broadcom.

I bet the lines are around the block for these.... 🤣
I remember when Apple used to introduce products worth waiting in line for.... at least I know when all of the regular Apple youtubers are mocking them for this release that I'm not the only one wondering why Tim Cook is still allowed to make product decisions. Maybe I'll go scroll through some App Store ads.
I bet the lines are around the block for your comedy act too. I remember when people used to post jokes that hadn’t been said a 1,000 times.

Once again, just because an update to devices (no matter how small) doesn’t seem logical to some, doesn’t meant there aren’t others out there excited about it.

There’s some good ads out there. Hope you find something. 👊😙👍
