I know I know this is wishful thinking....
Take the price of the ipad pro, couple it with apple's keyboard and pencil... and to me at least you get a one device solution/option that would in fact sell by the boat loads. Of course this is if and only if it ran OSX rather than iOS. A normal computer OS simply allows for much more than iOS does. Everything from file management and normal interfaces that usually don't require a work around.
On top of that the Arm chips would allow for the iOS apps to also run. So it would be nice to essentially have a "work area" where your iOS apps live, and a work area where you actually have OSX, with a unified underlying storage location shared between the two work spaces.
Currently I have a MBP and an ipad, but more and more I would love to be able to use my ipad + pensil for things like note taking and saving them to icloud or onenote, while also accessible for other activities best suited on a proper computer (creating power points etc). My MBP is also simply more powerful allowing me to run things like CAD, or games that the ipad simply can't match. If apple gave us an ipad pro running OSX, I would shift things. It would become my go to mobile device for everything replacing my MBP, while I would pick up a Mac (desktop) for the more powerful reasons.
But... dreaming.
Cheers
