LOL. The iPad 3 comparison. It was the first retina iPad and a lot better buy than what people say. Actually, it had way more of current technology by release than iPad Pro. I bet when iPad pro 2 is released, the flaws of iPad pro will make it the buyers remorse pad.

It is heavy, charges slow with full charge error, does not have current Touch ID technology, can't charge while in use with much brightness/load, has no pro apps yet, has no relevant apps updated to support the larger screen, has super bad accessories and is very underpowered for a pro device.

Multitasking is hideous also.

You really need to quit saying that the iPP can't charge while being used. Mine does, and I have the screen not full at full brightness, as this is too bright unless you were maybe outdoors in bright sun. At a comfortable screen brightness, comparable to a desktop monitor, the iPP DOES charge while being used. When you just make **** up, you sound like an ass.

I was initially unsure about a keyboard. I think I want one now, but the reviews of the Smart Keyboard have been so poor I don't think I'll be getting one of those. The Logitech one is too bulky too, so for the time being, I dunno what I'll do. I'm in no hurry for one, but it'll be nice to have eventually.

I have the smart keyboard, and think it's great. I type just as fast on it, as I do on my iMac. Of the available keyboards, I think it is the lightest weight too.

I think it's funny that how people(include of me) change their mind after they actually take iPad Pro on their hands and try it few minutes then say "that's actually great!" and want one lol
I read tech reviews everywhere before I made reservation for iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, just because I wasn't 100% sure if I really like them and if it's really useful to me. But when first time I had it on my hands, I figured it's actually not too big to carry around, graphic is just so beautiful and system takes care of so much. I don't watch movies/TV or listen music on my iPad Pro often, but 4 speakers are really nice too.
To charge it, it's better to use its own charger but not the ones came with iPhone, just because it needs more power to charge itself. But when you use the charger which came with iPad Pro, it charge correctly and also charge during you're using iPad Pro as well.
And like someone mentioned, charging Apple Pencil is lightning speed, it charges 15%-20% easily with in 15min.

Am I the only one that just likes using it as a big iPad without some bs justification like "I need it for work" or "because I'm an artist" or something? It doesn't even feel the big to me anymore

THIS.

How many people buy souped up retina iMacs and MBPs when their computing needs are basic and they have no real work to do or marketable art to create? How is this any different? Why does this product require extra rationalization?

How many of you guys are using your iPP without a case? I've got the Apple Keyboard Case and think it's great for typing on and also a Kavaj leather case which is good for just using on your lap web browsing. This is the Kavaj;

KAVAJ leather case "Berlin" for the Apple iPad Pro cognac brown - genuine leather with stand-up feature. Thin Smart Cover as premium accessory for the original Apple iPad Pro https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0151M3KQM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_SQdGwb38D2GQT

I'm using mine naked but plan on changing that real soon. Is that KAVAJ better than the Smart Cover?

Well it's better as it protects the back of the pro, unlike the Smart Cover. If you're interested in it you can claim a discount code to use on Amazon if you register with them on the Kavaj website.

Thanks!

I'm about to jump. It would be sweet to have that big screen sitting on the music stand. I'll post photos... :)

Displaying sheet music was the #1 reason for me purchasing the IPP - and I have not been disappointed. I use ForScore app to display my sheet music. It's compatible with Bluetooth foot pedals to turn pages and with the Apple Pencil for scribbling notes/reminders on the scores. Works great!

FANTASTIC!!

And thank you for the app recommendation, too!

I got the Berlin cover, but the ipad hasnt arrived yet because UPS is holding it hostage right now.. but the cover seems great! :)

Just got mine today with smart keyboard and pencil! Took traveling to a couple stores to get everything, but it was worth it. It was my first time seeing the IPP in person at the store and thought it was comically large, but I was dead set on bringing one home and putting it through the paces to find out if it's truly something I want or not. After spending some time with it, I quickly got used to the size of it, LOVE the speakers, keyboard is great to type on and love the shortcuts, still trying to figure out if I need the pencil or not. It's great to use in lieu of my fingers and scrolling through stuff. I've tried writing and drawing with it, but have to get used to the lag, while slight, it's noticeable to me. So far I love it, but want to see how I use it in the following days as both a "laptop" and tablet. Right now I see myself hanging on to my iPad Air for portability and normal tablet use, but we'll see!

I have had mine for about 2 days, and the Pencil just arrived today. I love it. I'm not trying to justify the size or some work use case. It's just a better iPad to me. I was coming from a iPad Air 2 128GB LTE version. The larger screen just makes my games better, and the sound is a big upgrade.

I think I will have some uses for it during my day job as a paralegal, but if I don't that is just fine.
