It shipped this afternoon and arrived a couple hours ago. The screen is AWESOME.

Past experience reveals the only sure way to confirm when it shipped, is once you have a tracking number from the carrier.

Not really but there is a thread that shows what's seemingly a fedex shipment for the new iPad. Might be photoshopped or it might not. Not sure...

That's why I asked, just for for kicks. Anyone that's placed any online order knows it doesn't happen that fast.

I believe it's a 3-step process:

1. According to where you ordered it from, did it say your order has been placed?

2. To confirm, did you receive an acknowledgement from them

3. Tracking info

I ordered mine around 1pm PST and got email confirmation a few minutes later. No tracking info as of yet.
