No thanks, good luck selling the Air 1. I saw some Air 2s, but they're a little more than what I want to pay. I am looking to get a full 1 year warranty brand new if possible.
If u are in USA. You had plenty of opportunities to buy iPad Air 2 32gb wifi for $275 at target and Best Buy brand new during Black Friday sales (they were not sold out until much later in the day even at those $275 prices . And than $299 before xmas

Plenty of time to buy iPad Air 2.

Wasn't in the market at the time since I just bought an Apple Watch on Black Friday. Now, I am in the market and just got a Mini 4 ordered.

My sisters were thrilled. My brother I think wasn't happy. He wanted 128 and wifi/cellular version and space grey. I told him he could return it and pay the difference for the one he wants. I told my sisters if they were disappointed and just not telling me, they could do the same.

Trying to imagine being disappointed to unwrap the latest IPad on Christmas.

They haven't even taken them out of the boxes or taken the shrink wrap off. What else am I to think? But hurt, but I learned a lesson, which I will not repeat again.

They didn't say they were going to return it for the 128? Awful.

Unreal. I'm so sorry.

Yeah, they all still have them in the boxes still. I will never do that again.

Wow
Yeah, I told them again yesterday to please return them if they don't want them as it is a waste of my money and that I will not be giving anymore gifts to them. I have never done this to them about gifts they have given me.

Wow. Don't let it get to you. Your generosity speaks volumes about you. Glad you asked them to return them to you.

I just can't imagine someone complaining about not getting the right color or size iPad Pro. You could have bought them iPad Mini 2's and they should have been excited. It's a gift. A generous gift no doubt.

Are they young or immature? Maybe that would explain their attitudes.

I've given my family Apple devices but no one has bought any for me. Wanna adopt me? *Makes sad puppy eyes*

Seriously though. That's pretty ungrateful.

You said they all wanted the iPad Pro but weeks later they haven't even opened them yet? WTF kind of person asks for an expensive gift and doesn't even use it?

I'm sorry but your siblings suck. At least your parents made one decent human being. :p

They sound young. Like the brother wanting a 128 GB cellular iPad. And then it's still sitting there. Like he does not have the money to get the one he wants, so he might be wanting somebody else to pay for that cellular contract. And they also do not show appreciation when somebody spends half a grand on them.

All that Apple privilege just sitting there all wrapped up!

They are not young, just not appreciative. It was a hard lesson to learn and wasted money. Life goes on though right?

You were the good person in this. We've all wasted money on someone ungrateful I think. If you haven't, you're lucky!

It would be one thing if they didn't ask for or even want an iPad. Then you're kind of just forcing your own wants onto someone else. Or even to ask for it and find out you don't really like it after using it for a bit.

But to ask for an expensive gift like that and not even open it is horrible and rude.

I had three people I was buying for, all wanted the iPad Pro 9.7. Found the deal and Best Buy matched the price. I could only afford to get them the 32 version, since I was buying three. I know that sounds terrible, that I didn't get the 128, but would not have been able to get three. If they don't like them, they can return them. It was a good deal.

They're your brothers and sisters. You didn't already know this about them? Based on what you posted in this thread it looks like you already anticipated how this would turn out.

"I know this sounds terrible that I didn't get the 128". To be apologetic about giving an extremely generous gift rather than an extravagant gift is telling. Without getting into the psychology of the situation, sounds like you've been on the short-end of the stick in the relationships with your siblings for a long time. Looks like they expect/demand things from you.

Allowing them to treat you the way that they treat you, reinforces the idea that it is acceptable to you.

I would have loved a new iPad...but would have returned it for the 128gb. But I would have profusely thanked you because it was indeed a great gift.

But your siblings don't appreciate you...just wish them a Merry Christmas next year. No presents.

Very liberating. And I'm being completely serious about no more gifts for them. I would not.

Any other sales going on right now for the 12.9 before taking the plunge on a used one here or refurbished by Apple?

Glyde has a refurbished 32GB Space Gray for $550. Refurbished 32GB Gold on eBay for $530 earlier today. Both pretty good deal IMO. Slightly better deals do pop up time to time on Swappa but they go quickly. Seems the 128GB isn't discounted as much ($680 range) as I'm guessing it's in higher demand.
