iPad

I ordered my new iPad on friday and it said it would deliver the 23rd. I checked back today and now it says delivers the 21st. Has anyone else had their delivery date move up like this?

wait... so you're telling me that the iPad comes out Friday and they're showing up at stores TODAY!?!?

They arrived today in my store, but as with most electronic devices or movies, there is a street date lock on them so the register won't even ring one up if we tried. My store received 15, all white :(, as I wanted black

The New new iPad 4p

Here's the iPad that I think is next...

the New new iPad 4p. Dual 3d Camera lenses, and a tiny pico projector at the bottom.

The New new iPad 4p

Ooh… kay. Calm down, fella. gillybean's joke was good enough.

lol, well everyone's a critic.. :)

Mine looks like a face, the camera for the eyes and the projector lens saying..."Oh My" as its Siri utter's the phrase in the voice of George Takei...

I ordered mine as soon as Apple's website let me, probably 2 hrs after the end of the announcement. I noticed the iPad was in Nashville ever since I got the FedEx tracking number. The weird thing, for me, is that listing Nashville as the originating location--not like previous products that I've ordered that have said China.

So I'm fairly hopeful the Friday delivery date will be honored, in fact I'm hoping it actually somehow gets delivered on Thursday the 15th. If memory serves me, weren't some people receiving the iPhone 4S a day before because of some reason??

What store is that?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B176 Safari/7534.48.3)

My roommate works in the backroom of a Target in Lincoln. They recieved 15 iPads. He said there are ten 16GB and five 64GB. Not sure if they're wifi only or 4G...

This should give some insight on how many the third party retailers will have.

Update: all 15 they got were wifi only.

Already arriving in stores? Ha! The only news I want to hear is that it's already arrived on my doorstep! :D Come to me, my pretty....

I already have mine. It must have arrived early for some reason. It arrived in 2010.

edit: Oh yeah, it's an iPad 1, not "The new iPad" -- but don't worry, I have one of those ordered too...should be here Friday morning on March 16th.

My mom ordered an iPad the day of the keynote... and it's supposedly been in Middletown, PA since March 9th

Okay? Great.

Is the street date March 16th at 8am or just March 16? Coud be a way of scoring one at midnight at places like Walmart. Thoughts/insight?

It will be several years before any apps or updates come out that will make this thing feel slow or outdated.

You know that's not true. Once the iPad 4 comes out next year you will be saying exactly the same thing - wow this is more than an incremental update, it's the best iPad ever, got to upgrade, etc, etc. Heaven forbid anyone should be a bit disappointed the iPad 3 didn't contain this or that enhancement. Thou shall not criticise the iPad 3.

my new appleTV is coming tomorrow! (15th)!

just got the fedex tracking number for my appleTV, which I ordered as I was ordering my new iPad...it says it will be delivered tomorrow the 15th by 3pm.. sweeettt! wish the new iPad would stop sitting in ontario..

Apple flew iPads from china to key north American distribution points for quick delivery for launch. [the fight info made the news, apple used up a lot of the air freight schedules a week ago] Why the confusion, about not direct from china, they're from china, they just got an earlier flight, to Nashville in my case.

Weird. My iPad was in Harrisburg, PA yesterday and is in Indianapolis, IN today but I live in Ohio. How did that happen? So my package is going to travel around back and forth on silly routes so it arrives here on the 16th but not earlier?

Fedex has a major air hub in Indy. So same reasoning applies to why your flights sometimes backtrack depending on the that particular airlines major hubs.

Okay, mine is still in Hong Kong

It says it is in Hong Kong. Doesn't mean it is. Sometimes for these sorts of things they have two tracking numbers. One you get and one that stays internal and is the only one they scan between initial pickup and out of delivery to you. But they know from the other tracker that it is in fact in a hub station a quick flight away from you.
