I’m just never going to get a nice rust/orange color, am I? Bronze is just gold with a new name… and instead they’ll have rose as the new color. So once again I’m limited to white or black.

I've wanted a true bronze or copper since it was rumoured many versions ago. Not millennial gold/pink, actually bronze.

Would really like a proper rose gold color like this one; It has bronze hues like what’s suggested here. Wondering where the 16 Pro color leaks are?

But but... the missus likes blue.

Personally I'd like to join the chorus of people wanting a real rust/orange. Like the legendary Nokia 6210 (the b&w screen one, they reused the model # later for a much crappier looking phone).

My theory... they do this on purpose to upsell their overpriced more "colorful" cases. If this new color is true it'll be as muted as possible.

I am not sure of the sales figures so I am just making a guess but I would assume most people just go with a safe color and style it with a case.

Just look at the crappy colors for the rumored 16's a few threads down.

I wonder why they don't further cut costs (by reducing SKUs) and just making one color and really leaning into the "cases for color and personality" angle?

I feel like I literally never see an iphone that is not in a case. Where do all the people who don't put their iphone in a case live? There's got to be millions of them in a city I've never been to.

I have a friend who always has the newest and most expensive Pro Max (money not an issue for him) and he goes "bare pickle" ... has a carrier insurance plan apparently and gets an all new device a few times each year when he invariably drops it.

Seems incredibly wasteful to me (and yes I tell him and he laughs) .. his money, so whatevs! 🥴🤷‍♂️

I don't even get the appeal of going bare -- I need cases for all my phones to make them as grippy as possible so they are easy to hand hold and also won't slide all over any surface I put it on.

I do not put my iPhone in a case. I still have my white iPhone 13 Pro from buying when it was released. Very minor scratch on the screen.

I'm one. I stopped using a case a bit back, decided I liked using the phone "naked" more, I do usually toss it in a case when I'm traveling though

To go caseless, the phone has to have a distinct beautiful look by itself. The imo last iPhone with this is the iPhone 12 Pro in pacific blue. I really adore this color, but also i have a weakness for natural leather cases, so i finally put it in a leather case and yes, this makes the phone a lot more grippy and more secured in the hand.

So for titanium is better to go for a bright color or darker?
idk what colors apple will release for their new devices next month and i also heard about color fading and finger prints on the 15 pro and max…….

Actual bronze would be cool (literally), though I’d prefer to see a brass option, if Apple would go down the path of offering models using unique and differentiated metals. If they’re just going to use a yellowish finish on the titanium, it will be a no-thank-you from me. I really don’t like how some companies use titanium that has a yellow-ish cast and it’s not a good look.

Apple’s Pro phones have the most boring colours in the industry. Bar none. Such a wasted opportunity. Whilst I appreciate most put a case on it anyway, it would be nice to have some actual “colour”. (uk spelling!)

Is it okay to whine about Honda and Toyota too in this thread? :)

Thats what happens when your visit MR several times a day, every day.

What is actually funny is I only pop in here once or twice a week. I don't think I've even comment more than once or twice every 2 weeks. Before the last year or so, I was pretty excited about Apple products and have been since the first iPhone was introduced. But since January I've built and switched to Windows machines after being exclusively Apple since 2005.

It's just the same thing every year from Apple which affects MR. MR is stuck reporting the boring that comes out of Apple leaks, which is sadly relegated to the possibility of a boring bronze color for a phone.

Why are Apple so allergic to nice, iMac-style colours on the iPhone Pro? Do they think only suits use them? I see more teenagers and mothers with Pro iPhones than I do working adults.
FYI the iMac colors are absolutely terrible.

I can attest to at least one lives in Chicago... me.

Apple, please offer another purple pro model!!
