The more leaks we get on the new iPhone the worse it gets. I really hope there's a big twist on the stage next month.

Here's the twist: They'll sell us the phone. Make it look pretty in photos and tell us about the new features which will make us forget the fact the camera produces a few mm.

I still have a hard time believing those white bands will be visible like that. Please say they intend to paint the whole ends of the device to make the color scheme in line with the current iPhones.

For some reason everyone is crying over the fact the iPhone 6 will have a protruding camera.

If you read it, it said the 5.5-inch may have a protruding camera, not the 4.7-inch.

Luckily for me, I'm getting the 4.7-inch and going by this article, it won't have a protruding camera!

Not an excuse.

The fact that the larger model has a protruding camera, will undoubtedly get spun as the larger model having a "pro" camera. So we will get two options: knowingly pick the smaller model with the worse camera, or pay EXTRA for CAMERAGATE and get tons of dust and scratches on the lens. Wonderful.

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but the photo can't be right?

iPhone = Current iPhone 5S
iPhone Air = 4.7" iPhone 6
iPhone Pro = 5.5" iPhone 6 (faster processor, larger screen, better camera).

Calling it now.

Actually, the article said:

so it remains to be seen whether this camera ring does indeed pair with the rear shell of the 4.7-inch model.

It seems implausible that the bigger phone, which isn't thinner and doesn't have a smaller bezer, would need a different camera design. I'm willing to bet that either both have it, or neither.

Protruding lens for superior iPhone Pro camera, ala the Lumia 1020.

I'd be VERY shocked if Apple even thought about having a protruding camera on any device.

I'm not looking into any rumours until Apple unveil it on stage. Anything up until then, for me, is bull.

probably it's for optical zoom. if camera app is shut off, it goes back into being flushed

optical zoom?
Changing the focal length from 4.1 mm to 5 mm is hardly useful. Also the trade offs for aperture and imaging quality are way too high. I honestly hope optical zoom NEVER makes it's way into smart phones. It's horrible enough in compact cameras.

Apple has to differentiate the two. The .8" screen difference is not enough so we might get a better camera, faster cpu, better battery life, sapphire, a surprise feature, etc. on the 5.5".

I agree, thinking the same thing.

I hope they don't sacrifice the camera on the 4.7 model though. For most that is going to be the one they get, if they go to the larger form factor.

umm..recessed volume buttons...

Wouldn't it make hard to press ?

if that pic was accurate, the Apple logo on the back would be the right way round.

Everyone wants a scratch resistant Apple logo :)

Ape patented a system for detachable lenses for mobile device cameras, so I am wondering if this might be the first product that allows for detachable lenses.

Or

iPhone Mini (5s)
iPhone Air (4.7)
iPhone Pro (5.5)

They just don't sound right, but its time to ditch the numbering, the iPad just did it last year, so this might end up happening.
