The people I know that own an iPhone don't have a case; so I'm always bewildered when I read this statement. Is there any statistics that has been researched about this alleged majority of iPhone owners putting their iPhones in cases and put in an article?

I am in sales and see a lot of people everyday. Almost all have cases on their phones.

As a relatively new iphone owner, I don't get why this iphone is seen as mostly unchanged.

A10 processor
Better camera
3gb Ram
Up to 256gb storage
Better Battery
Lightening Port--Mixed feelings on that

That's a lot new, albeit not 100% confirmed until released.

Apple may not have the latest features as soon as other companies. But, build quality makes up for it.

All IMHO

No he won't. And wireless is a killer feature? Sure it is, when you have to shell out for several expensive (compared to a cable) wireless pads to place everywhere you want to lay down your device to charge.

I'd need 2 for home (office/den and bedroom), one for work and one for my car. And if I need to pick up my charging phone to answer a call or check an email, it stops charging. Wireless charging is highly overrated. It's only very very slightly more convenient (and a fraction quicker) then simply setting my iPhone down on a dock or plugging it in. It's not revolutionary or mind blowing and it doesn't have any meaningful impact on my daily usage.

I'm not spending money on something that offers me so very little in return.

I agree that the current standard of Qi is not that useful. Check out Cote Ossia, supposedly charges from 30 feet away and are almost commercially ready. Even if Apple had a wireless standard of just 3 feet away, it would be a big comfort. I think that is why Apple has stayed away form Qi, as I agree it's semi useless.

I really hope a world standard of wireless charging comes out, make charing all these devices easier.
