NEW Iphone next year?!

I was wondering if there would be a new iPhone released around Christmas/New Year or even next summer.
What would you expect to have in it?
A new model or Iphone Nano?
 
There's been one each summer since '07. I'd be surprised if there weren't a new one next summer.
 
The chances of one being release around Christmas season through New Years is practically zero, but you can almost count on there being a new iPhone next summer. How much of an upgrade it will be next summer nobody knows, but you can almost guarantee that there will be an upgrade announced in June '10.
 
I'm sure it'll be one next summer. Every year the iPhone gets better than the previous one.
 
I just got my 3GS 2 weeks ago but am already tired of it... I WANT THE 3GS2 NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I think it is Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in this case.

I am looking forward to one next June. I am eligible for an upgrade in March, so the timing should be just about right. I'm hoping the next iPhone will be a major upgrade.

Same here, I can upgrade in February can't wait for iPhone 2010.

I think we will se OLED and hardware (battery) upgrade that allows background apps.

ah no! I could have sworn the old one was charlie and the chocolate factory, and I haven't even seen the new one, but I just imdb'd it and you're right.
 
I decided not to upgrade at the moment for this very reason...just keep your fingers crossed. Apple hasn't been 100% in my book lately.
 
You guys are all suckers, you probably waited overnight in front of the store for the first one, and spent the night in front of ATT store for the 3G. Then you probably ordered the 3GS the day it came out... You suckers,,,oh , wait, that was me!! :p

hmmm, You suckers who have been waiting since day one to get your iPhone and still not pulled the trigger, you guys are missing all the fun (ya thats better):D
 
Yup, most likely a new iPhone in June of '10. Some possible additions:

1. OLED Screen
2. 64GB HDD
3. Front Facing Camera
4. Dual Core Processor
5. Improved Battery Life (actually improved, not 3GS "improved")
6. Verizon/Sprint/T-Mobile iPhone
7. HD Resolutions
8. Multitasking/Background Apps

I'd expect the next upgrade to be a more feature rich than the past update. But I wouldn't put it past Apple to upgrade the processor to improve battery life and add a significant power boost.
 
I heard from my wife's, brother's coworker's friend that Apple considers the iPhone an epic fail and is not going to make another version:)

there is a slim to none chance that verizon will get the iphone, or sprint.
they are both cdma networks.
and besides verizon has said time and time again that they do not want the iphone. and apple wouldnt give them cause verizon would cripple the iphone with its vcast garbage.

Its the iPhone M, in which M stands for Magic.....:cool:


Now, in all seriousness, the iPhone suffers from yearly updates in June 07. So, obviously, Apple has to offer a newer model considering if they don't, they will fall behind in comparison with competition.

Also, can we stop with these kinda of threads. That search button is a great feature begging to be used.
